Hi Sherry,
I'm applying for a library director job (which may be out of my league but, hey) at a community college in case my crazy asst supt decides I'm as unfit to teach as she thought last week.

Is there any advice you can give me? Was it hard to move from k-12 to higher ed.?
TIA for any words of wisdom.

Well...I didn't think it was difficult because you have so much more academic freedom, a more flexible schedule, and the ability to manage the classes as you wish. In a community college I would think that it would not be that different than HS. However it would be a research library instead of an instructional support situation.
