Students' first day tomorrow....

Tomorrow is the first day for students in my district.
Aly is soooo excited. She met all but her Spanish teacher today (not sure why she didn't meet her). We had to buy several new uniform pieces (she got taller) and she got new shoes (her old ones still fit fine...in fact, the new ones are the same size!..but they were dingy and getting old and just became play shoes or rainy day shoes....guess she got taller but her feet didn't grow any...lol).
I met quite a few of my students on Sunday at Open House...I have 158 of them, if I added correctly (I was on the phone while I was adding). My largest class is 28, my smallest 25 (was 23, but they moved students around..ugh!). Even though I thought I was going to get all of the SPED students, 9 of them are resource and a good bit of them are doing a special linguistics class in lieu of mine (I think there are 33 total). A LOT more gifted students than last year. (14 compared to 4)
I have about 10-12 siblings from last year's roster.
Cody is my winning name this year (AGAIN!) with 4, but no girls named Cody this year (I had 1 each year prior...different spellings of course!). No Allisons, no Alicias (and I've never had one pronounced like mine), and my very first Michael (my husband's name).
Wish me luck and the a continuing voice for tomorrow (last year, I lost my voice by the second day..didn't have it for the rest of the week!).
