Flu Shot?
| Tue, 10-06-2009 - 9:58am |
As of tomorrow my hospital will have newest flu shots out. They say that the elderly & anyone who is pregnant is up first to get it. But me, i personally do not want it. I dont feel its been out long enough for anyone to really know the effects of it. What are everyone's views on this? i need some advice please!, cause they want me to have the flu shot @ my next appointment.. ugh.

The vaccine takes about 8-10 days to become effective. Since you are due soon tell your doctor that you'll take your chances.
BTW no one in my family will be getting this vaccine. The only vaccine that anyone gets in my household is the seasonal flu shot. DH is the only one that gets that one.

None of us are getting it. I'm not satisfied that there is enough information about the safety or the effectiveness of it. I havent got any of the information at the moment, but I get the feeling that the vax has been rushed to get it out 'on time'.
If you dont want it, you dont have to have it. You dont even have to give your Dr a reason why if you dont want to
