1. True. Usually your body naturally cleans itself out but sometimes that is not the case. I promise that you will not care! Just remember they have always seen something nastier then anything you can do...they are OBGYNs lol! Seriously though, you will be way to busy with labor/birthing to care!

2. Honestly, the two stretchmarks I got on my love handle, got worse before they got better but are now MUCH lighter than they were before! I also left my belly button ring in too long & it got a really gnarly stretchmark & that one is completly gone! My boobs(I have had stretchmarks on them since I was 12ish)

1. I wouldn't worry too much, it happens to some people it might not to you and by the time your in active labor, trust me that will be the last thing on your mind.

2. Some fade after a while, but they generally stick around.

3. I never used them, My baby didn't really scratch himself though.

4. I wait till my son's asleep and then do it, it's the easiest way I think atleast.

5. Haha, I never really notice this!

1.) I have heard that too. Alot of women do, but all the nurses and such say not to worry about it. It bothers me too to think that it can happen, but they will sweep it away before u even notice.

2.) everyone says they dont go away, but they do fade

3.) Im going to use them for my baby.

4.) Alot of people chew the babies nails off.

5.) i've noticed that too lol.

You've had a lot of good answers so far, so I'm going to skip the ones where I'd be repeating the answers :)

3) I didnt use the mittens on toby because he pulled them off too easily; I used socks because they are better elasticated round the wrist :) I made sure he had something on because babies have very little control over their arms and scratch themselves very easily. Toby made himself bleed before I worked out how to make him keep them on :( Also, it allowed me to put off the nail cutting thing.

4) I wimped out and my mom did them after

lol not always but often, when you push you should be pushing as if your pooping. they nurses will say 'PUSH WITH YOUR BUM'
to be honest i know i pooped LMAO! when i was in labor i actually sat on the toilet and tried to poop so i didnt end up doing it while i was pushing, but if i didnt see the nurse cleaning everything i would have no clue since they're so used to it they won't even let you know.

2. do strech marks go away after the pregnancy or are they always there? (i dont have them yet this is just a heads up type question)

they wont FULLY go away but after time they'll fade. stretch marks are scars.

3. the baby gloved that go on there hands to stop them from scrapin there face? do you use them or are they ok not to get?

i used them for a few days but my daughter hated them so i didnt bother.

4. how would you trim your babys nails im so scared once i have my child ill hurt it.

I've never used the clippers on her nails, i used little baby nail files and emery boards(sp?)

5. why in the hospital the nurses and doctors toss around your child pretty much. i know they babys ok but it makes me wounder seein how we need to be careful but how they so carelessly toss the new born!

its not really 'tossing it' they just know what to do and are pros at handling a newborn. so don't worry. they wouldn't put your child in unnecessary danger.

about the clipping the nails;

my midwife told me not to clip them untill about 2 months, like shea mentionned i also used nail files. untill the baby's nails are hard you shouldnt clip them.
