I had chicken pox two years ago, so..I remember! They will be red spots. Look sort of like a big flea bite (start out flat, then get fluid filled, then will burst and crust over). Generally they start on the back or scalp and spread. Other symptoms are general discomfort, fever, and loss of appetite. I personally didn't have the fever until three days in, but all of my muscles hurt! You'll know if she's uncomfortable. YES TAKE HER TO A DOCTOR! Let us know how it goes. =) Hope I helped a bit. I feel so bad for your little Princess (And you!)

CP tends to start on the body and is a red spot that very quickly looks like a fluid filled blister. It's the fluid that carries the virus so be careful not to let her pick them. Especially near her eyes. There's not loads that can be done about them except to keep her cool and hydrated. If you can't control her fever or you get concerned about them in her eyes or mouth then take her in. Otherwise, it's a wait it out job.

She probably won't be too interested in food but ice pops and things are a good way to get her fluids intake up. The mouth is one of the least good places to get CP and the most sore. I'd take her to the doc if you see any on her lips/in her mouth to assess if there are any in her throat.

Oatmeal in the foot of an old nylon is great in a tepid bath. Just hang the tied up nylon under the hot water and it'll turn the bath milky. Let her play to her hearts content. Sometimes they can get a second wave as the first lot start to crust over so don't be surprised if she gets even more covered than you could imagine.

Hope she feels better soon!
