My due date was changed once but only by a couple of days. I've never heard of them changing it a total month ahead. But then again i also went 3 weeks and 4 days past my due date so that suxs too.

I have heard of the due date being changed but never by a month before, especially with you being so far along already. The bigger the baby gets the less accurately they can guess the babies size (that's what I was told by my doctor) so they tend to not dramatically change the due date like that when you're past like 17 weeks or something like that. I don't remember the exact weeks but it was pretty early still. So I find it very odd that they would move your due date up by a month at this stage of the pregnancy. What were your baby's measurements during your last appointment that made them question the original due date? How many weeks were you during that appointment? It seems like it would be very alarming to have the baby suddenly be a month ahead in growth. Have they scheduled another ultrasound? Are they going to run any tests to make sure the baby is okay? Did you have no idea when your last period was when you went to the doctor? What was your baby measuring at during your first ultrasound (the early one that most people get; not the one to tell the gender)?

I've heard the same thing, when I went to find out how far alone I was with Colten, they said I was 8w2d and that at that point it is very accurate because later in pregnancy the babies size varies more and the "average" is a wider range.

It could have been how the baby is laying. Some people can measure 8+ weeks ahead of time.

Do you have gestational diabetes?

I had mine changed by a week at my 12 week u/s and another week at my 20 week u/s so 2 weeks in total. Are your docs planning to re scan you to see if it was a growth spurt or something?
