8/1/05- So here I am starting at 168.5lb. In a way I'm happy about that since I haven't weighed this little since 2001, however, when I got married in Oct. 1999 I was at 140- so that was some major eating I did for a few years. When I got pregnant in July of 2002 I was 177, and when I got pregnant in April 2004 I was 194. My highest weight ever was 222 in January. By 3 weeks post partum I was back in regular clothes and by 10 weeks I was at 180 pounds. The weight loss has slowed down a lot since then. I go to the gym five days a week. at first it was just the elliptical trainer for 30-50 minutes. Then in April I started one aerobics class a week and four days of elliptical trainer, with a couple jogs on the treadmill thrown in. This is the 4th week of four days a week of classes- 2 aerobic and 2 strength training. I was really hoping that the weight would just fall off because I switched things up so much, but it hasn't really happened. I'm telling myself that I've gained muscle, which I definitely have, so that's why the scale isn't moving, even though my pants fit better. My goal is to lose 8 more pounds for the month of August- I think 2 pounds a week should be reasonable. I'll update here to share how it's going.
