Hey All ~

I am trying to really get back on track. It seems my life has been topsy turvy for the past several weeks/months.

Here is the current scoop.......

Blood work all came back normal. No sign of pre-diabetes, it was most likely all the crap food I was eating and the stress I was dealing with. My fasting blood glucose was only 83 from the lab report.

The doctor is a little concerned with my Thyroid results. Although they are within normal range, the number is on the higher end of normal. She will run another test in about 6 months.

DH and I are getting along better than ever before....We have had some family issues/crisis situations that we worked together on and found compromising resolutions to. That helps with the overall disfunction of the remarriage situation.

We are awaiting news on our home loan approval...if approved we hope to be in a house by the end of April or early May. I already have a few picked out for viewing and I am really hopeful that my current top pick (based on the online pictures) will be suitable for our current needs.

Next steps include some additional MAJOR changes within our home life. Including getting ready for graduation of my DD and my DH's son. They both are graduating in May!!! Eeeek.....

We might also become foster parents...and the lines of communication are back open for us to possibly have one together.

It never ceases to amaze me that it takes a crisis to bring things together....but most times the crisis

Sue ~

I will definitely talk to my PCP about the sonogram if it continues to read high. The reading on the lab work was 3.4. She prefers readings between 1 and 2.

I also had slightly low ALT/AST readings, but she didnt comment on that and apparently wasnt too concerned.

All in all, it appears that I am in relatively good health, now I just need to get prepared for having little ones again.

I believe in my heart that my primary reason for being on this planet is to be a mom and fostering never really crossed my mind, until the current situation that has allowed me to open my home and my heart to it.

DH and I will begin this new plan next week - since as per usual, I really need to go grocery shopping. HAHA!! Why is it that I am always doing dishes, doing laundry or needing to go grocery shopping?!?!?!?!

I am hoping this healthy eating plan will improve my DH's diabetes and give us both a greater energy boost!

So DH and I have been following Dr. Fuhrman's book Eat for Health. In the just more than a week DH has lost more than 5 lbs....and I have lost 8/10th of a pound. LMAO!!!

Why is it that men can lose weight so much easier and faster?!?!?!

I am still adjusting to eating mostly vegetarian...but it is tough. I am always feeling hungry. I know it is an adjustment and it will take time...so I will continue to plug along.

The upside to this program is that DH's sugar levels have been so good!! They are still higher than normal, but have been coming down steadily over the past week. That is exciting!

After almost 2 weeks of business travel, I am home and ready to get back to a daily routine.

The good thing is that I am still down overall from where I started on my "new start" yet the bad thing is I am up 2 lbs in the last couple of weeks. Room service will do that to
