I think it's time I start a journal.

My starting weight: 143 lbs.

My goal: 130 lbs. by end of March

Today, Tuesday, Jan. 17, 2006: Breakfast: Coffee w/half & half, one fried egg and one slice of 8-grain bread. One banana. Half cup of orange juice.

Lunch: Ham and cheese w/mayo on 8-grain bread. Diet Cherry Coke.

Dinner: Two soft tacos w/chedder cheese, tomato and lettuce.

I'm not a big snacker. My biggest downfall is having a glass or two of wine once the kids are in bed and settled down at night.

Walked on the treadmill for 35 minutes.

Wednesday, January 18, 2006

Well, I was up every two hours with my four year old last night as he was throwing up in his bed and then mine! Yuck!

I didn't have the energy to exercise today. I had my four year old and 16-year old home sick today.

I did pretty good with my meals:

Breakfast: Two scrambled eggs, scrambled in butter w/pepper, 1/2 cup orange juice, coffee w/ 1/2&1/2 and one banana

Snack: hand full of trail mix

Lunch: 1/2 ham & cheese w/mayo sandwich on 8-grain bread and a diet Fresca, oh, and 1/2 an apple

Snack: hand full of trail mix

Dinner: chicken breast breaded with parmasen cheese and breadcrumbs w/a pat of butter baked in the oven. about 1/2 cup of noodles and glass of wine.

p.s. I know if I just stopped the glass or two of wine I cold drop the weight quickly. I did it before Christmas and then i got back into the habit of indulging once the kids are in bed.

Wow! That's a lot of calories just in wine! I know that is the one thing I really need to give up. I didn't have wine for a few months and just that change alone, I lost five lbs. Those must have been the five lbs. I put back on over Christmas Vacation out of town.

Veggies ~ Once a upon a time (lol), I always made sure we had vegies or salad with dinner. Lately, I've been so hurried and tired that I leave it out. How's that for rationalizing? LOL! ;o) I do need to remember to add them to our evening meal. I'm often too full to eat both veggies or salad. Is it okay to substitute one for the other? Or should I be doing both and just eat less of the meat?

Thanks for the feedback! I'm hoping to jump on the treadmill later this afternoon.

Breakfast ~ One egg fried in butter. A slice of 8-grain toast w/butter and half of a banana. 1/4 cup of orange juice.

snack ~ diet pepsi

Lunch ~ 1/2 ham and cheese sandwich on 8-grain bread w/mayo. Salad w/dressing. Water

Snack ~ 1/2 apple with about 1 TBL of carmal dip.

Dinnner ~ Salad w/dressing. Spagehetti w/homemade sauce. Water.

I didn't get the chance to walk on the treadmill today. I did walk around our circle a few times w/my ds/4 as he rode his bike and cozy coup around.

I plan on walking for 1/2 hour tomorrow.

I think I did pretty good today.

Breakfast: One serving size of oatmeal. One slice of 8-grain bread (my favorite, can you tell?) w/a little bit of butter on it. 1/2 cup of orange juice.

Snack: Hand full of trail mix.

Lunch: Half sandwich w/low fat mayo, turkey and cheese on 8-grain bread. Salad with a touch of reg. dressing and a diet pepsi.

Snack: A big Fuju apple with no caramel dip! Boo, hoo, I love that stuff. I can eat it by the teaspoon full!!

Oops. I also walked on the treadmill for 35 minutes this morning.

Tuesday, January 24

Tuesdays are my days that I'm out driving kids in all different directions. So, I didn't get the chance to walk today. I always feel guilty on my day off! I'm going to try and walk later today or tonight. It's hard sometimes to get the energy up later in the day!

Breakfast: one serving size of oatmeal, 1/2 cup of o.j., coffee with fat-free creamer

Snack: Hand full of trail mix. (Do we see a pattern here? LOL!)

Lunch: Half ham and cheese sandwich on 8-grain bread w/small amount of mayo. Salad with about a TBL of blue cheese dressing. Diet Pepsi.

Snack: Some trail mix.

Dinner: This is where I fell off! I had an Italian beef sandwich from Portillos's.

I always drink water throughout the day, However, I know that I haven't met the suggested amount lately! I need to up my water intake!

I'm not going to step on the scale for a while because I'm expecting AF and it's too depressing to see the scale go up during that time! :o(
