Joining in after an absence from the board...I can't think of a better way to start the new year! I've had major computer problems at home (soooo slow loading) and can't use the computer at work. I'm going to give it a try from home, cause this is the place where I want to be!!

Overall, I want to lose 25 pounds by summer (I weight 157.5). I have about 20 weeks to goal, so it's possible as long as I stick to it. .

I have two goals that I'm going to try to stick to this month:

(1) Diet - keep it low in cholesterol, low in fats, and limited to 1200 calories.

(2) Exercise - walk one mile during lunch.

Week of January 8 -

I met my goal this week. I kept my calories under 1200, low in fat and low in cholesterol. I was able to exercise during lunch each day, walking one mile on 4 days and 1.25 miles another day. I also used the lateral stepper two times this week, each time increasing the number of steps.

I Weighed myself today, and I lost 3 pounds this week. Starting weight was 157.5, current weight is 154.5, and my goal by Memorial Day is 127. I'll get there!

Way to go, Lynn! I know you can do it! Isn't it motivating to see change in your weight even if it's a lb or two? Keep up the good work!

Week of January 15 ~ My week in review. Had a very good week. Kept to my diet without any struggle. Made a few different food choices (didn't stick with just the same old foods) which were healthy choices and good for me. Met my exercise goal and walked between 1.25 and 1.50 miles four days during the week at lunch time. Started wearing a pedometer on Wednesday and my steps were: Wed. 11,700, Thurs. 12,800, Fri. around 4,500, and Sat. 7,800.

Weight stats as of today (01/22)- 157.5/152/127 - starting weight, current weight, goal weight. I lost two pounds this week.

I have not measured myself (always reluctant to do so, as you have to make sure you measure in exactly the same spot the next time or the results are waaaay off), but it would be a good ideal to do so. My tops are much looser overall and in particular where they hit my waist. My pants are looser, and I feel some room in the waist and legs which hadn't been there prior to starting to diet/exercise. My goal is to get into my small jeans...by Memorial Day!
