Felt better after work yesterday, and feel like I have a little more energy today, despite being awake since 3 am (Stevie woke up at 3, I tossed and turned for an hour, he escaped his room and barged into ours at 4, after taking him back to bed, I tossed and turned for another hour, until 5, and was almost back to sleep when dh woke up and started cuddling.. it's always something, LOL). Today is OT. Need to hit the grocery store while Stevie is in OT for a few forgotten essentials (why can't I ever remember everything when I'm grocery shopping, not even when I use a list?!?!).

Yesterday's menu

B- one egg, one egg white, 1 piece turkey sausage, 1/4 c. salsa, 1/2 c. spicy V8
S- blueberries, yogurt
L- large salad with leftover chipotle beef, lite ranch dressing
S- powdered milk, cocoa, peanut butter "brownie", plus about 1/2 a granola bar later when I was feeding Stevie (not sure why I ate that, I wasn't hungry, or stressed, or anything)
D- 1 1/2 c. homemade chicken and barley soup, 1/2 grilled cheese sandwich (not a great dinner, should have substituted some additional veggies for the grilled cheese)
S- 1 oz. low fat cheddar cheese, cherry tomatoes and baby carrots

Yesterday was a good day, busy as usual, but good. Stevie had a great day, did awesome at OT, and actually let me cook dinner (mostly) in peace, although he did sneak in and start munching on the red pepper big sister was chopping for dinner, so we lost a little pepper, but that's ok. He cracks me up, he'll eat things like raw onions (I'm talking a big bite, right out of the side, skin and all), raw bell peppers, zucchini, but get a blueberry on his tongue and he practically gives himself a hernia spitting it out, LOL.

Got everyone off to work/school this morning and then did a 1/2 hour of Tae Bo before my morning shower and I feel awesome, will have to try and make the early workout more of a habit, I hate exercising in the evenings!

Yesterday's menu

B- one egg, one egg white, one piece turkey sausage, 1/4 c. salsa, 1/2 c. spicy V8
S- blueberries, ff greek yogurt
L- large salad with the last of the chipotle beef, lite ranch dressing
S- none
D- 1 c. chicken jambalaya (brown rice, chicken and shrimp), large side salad with lite ranch dressing
S- powdered milk, cocoa, peanut butter "brownie"

Pretty good day yesterday. Was stressful at work, but home was calm and relaxed. Sleep last night wasn't bad.. was up at 3am with Stevie, but after about 1/2 an hour of kicking his wall, he dropped back off to sleep. Today is OT, and then only one more day until spring break! Spring break around here is a bit of a mixed blessing.. I love the time off of work, but Stevie is home full time, so it's not always the most relaxing vacation, LOL.

Yesterday's menu

B- one egg, one egg white, 1/4 c. salsa, 1 piece turkey sausage, 1/2 c. spicy V8
S- blueberries, ff lite yogurt
L- 3 oz. leftover bbq pork, large salad with lite ranch dressing
S- Jello sugar-free mouse cup
D- 3/4 c. pinto beans with red chili sauce, 1 whole wheat tortilla, 2 c. mixed broccoli and cauliflower with 2% cheese sauce
S- whole wheat tortilla with pesto and parmesan cheese

Good last day of school before spring break today! Started off with 45 minutes of Tae Bo, then off to work. It was a pretty laid back day in the school cafeteria because we had some kids out for a field trip and another group of kids got restaurant food delivered. Next week I'm putting the kids to work at home and hopefully get some spring cleaning done. It's still too cold to open the windows and air everything out, but if I can at least organize some closets and cupboards, and get some of the dust out of the house, it'll be good.

Yesterday's menu

B- one egg, one egg white, 1 T. red chili sauce, 1 piece turkey sausage, 1/2 c. spicy V8
S- blueberries, ff lite yogurt
L- 3/4 c. fat free cottage cheese, large salad with lite ranch dressing
S- 3/4 c. mixed berries
D- 1 1/2 c. homemade chili, side salad with ranch dressing
S- one whole wheat tortilla toasted with 1 oz. low fat cheese and red chili sauce

Well, spring cleaning isn't going to be happening this week as planned.. because it's already done!! I told the kids we were going to be cleaning this week and they decided they'd rather just get it done, so 5 hours on Saturday and another 3 on Sunday and we got every cupboard, closet and drawer, cleaned out and organized. Bookcases and the entertainment center were reorganized. We took apart the sofas and cleaned all the crumbs out of the bottom (yuck!). You can even see carpet on the floor of my son's bedroom. All in all, I feel great to have the house back in order (at least for a little while, lol).

Spring break is starting off a little rocky. Stevie's sleep is totally off, he's basically up at 2am until we get up, and then once he gets his breakfast, he goes back down for a nap (while I resist the urge to strangle him, LOL). I'm going to have lunch with dh today, so hopefully that's fun and I can find something not COMPLETELY horrible for me on the menu. While I'm downtown, I'm stopping by the thrift store and drop off the bag full of clothes I pulled out of my closet. Then, back home to do more laundry (I have to finish off Stevie's laundry, then start on linens).

Yesterday's menu

B- one egg, one egg white, 1 T. red chili sauce, 1 piece turkey sausage, 1/2 c. spicy V8

S- handful of baby carrots, 1 slice 2% American cheese
D- 3 oz. salmon, 1 oz. spicy shrimp, 3/4 c. peas and carrots, side salad with lite ranch dressing
S- powdered milk, cocoa, peanut butter "brownie"

Last night's sleep was better, thank goodness. I'm sitting here on the couch right now and Stevie is studying what I type, LOL. I actually HATE using the laptop, but I don't have a choice because my desktop computer won't turn on (thinking the power switch is fried). Luckily I have another option for my message board obsession, heh.

Yesterday I got Stevie's hair cut and got him a bath. Ended up at Subway for lunch with dh. We had planned on going to a diner that's close to campus, but one of his buddies wants to go there on Wed. and dh didn't feel like doing that twice in a week, so we were good yesterday (well, except for the bag of chips I had with my sandwich.. they were really good and I don't feel guilty, an occasional treat is ok I think). I may end up running downtown tomorrow and crashing the boy's lunch, dh keeps trying to convince me to go, so we'll see.

Yesterday's menu

B- one egg, one egg white, 1 T. red chili sauce, 1 piece 2% American cheese, 1 whole wheat tortilla
S- blueberries, 6 oz. ff lite yogurt
L- 6 inch Subway spicy Italian sandwich, 1 single serve bag of chips
S- powdered milk, cocoa, peanut butter "brownie"
D- 3 oz. pork tenderloin, 1/2 c. applesauce, 1 c. coleslaw
S- 1 oz. 2% cheese, 4 cherry tomatoes, 5 baby carrots
