I was wondering if anyone eats Fiber One snacks, like the bars or brownies that are 90 calories, and what do you think of them? Are they a good, healthy snack option in between meals? What healthy snacks do you carry with you when you're on the go?

I did try a box of the brownies and liked them okay...they weren't super sweet or fudgy like real brownies and the texture was a little gritty but they probably have a lot less fat than real brownies. I was eating the Oats and Caramel bars for a while, they're yummy but they are 140 calories and pretty sweet. Its often better for me to not get started on sweet stuff, especially with processed sugar in it...I can eat fruit without the sugar cravings kicking in but stuff like bars and cookies usually make me want more more more. I can always use the fiber but decided to treat the Fiber One bars more as dessert than a snack.

I carry a little bag of raw almonds and/or an apple for on the go. The almonds have 200 cal and 17 grams of fat but also 7 grams of protein, and I don't have to eat the whole bag at once...if I drink water with them I feel full and stay full for a while. Dried fruit is also convenient and healthy but calorie dense. In the winter easy-peel tangerines are a good portable snack. If I have an ice chest with me then there are a lot more possibilities.

The Fiber One bars are OK.  I like them because you don't really have to worry about keeping them cold, so they're good to toss into your purse and go.  I love dry roasted almonds, greek yogurt, and pears for snacks.  I like apples too, but I think pears give you more of a full feeling.

I like them as I can carry them around in my backpack office and eat them during times when I can't get lunch.  Plus they give me the fiber I need for diverticular disease.  I can't eat a lot of things......no nuts, no seeds......so many healthy snacks are not possible for me!
