10AM Party Food - Breakfast or Snack??

DS's party is at our house this Sunday. It's really just a glorified playdate. I'm not going all out. But I'm confused about food. Most of the kids eat breakfast at 8:30.

If our party starts at 10 and goes til noon, what do I serve? At first I was all about muffins, french toast skewers w/ fruit, silver dollar pancakes decorated all cute. But now I'm concerned they'll have already had that before they get here!

Ideas?

I know some of these ladies are very particular about their snacks w/ sugar. I know most would rather feed their kid lunch at 11, then a treat at 10:30 and push lunch.

I really like your idea of french toast/fruit skewers.

I'd either plan a light lunch at the 11:30ish part of the party or just offer a snack, like the fruit and maybe cheese cubes or something.

I think that sounds wonderful! I would love to go to a party like that! Amie's idea of cheese, crackers & fruit is also good. Whichever idea you go with, I'm sure the kids (and moms) would love fruit!

I think either time sounds fine too...a 10 am snack or lunch at 11:30.
