At Taylor's first doctors appt. he noticed a tiny mark on her back and said it might grow into one of those strawberry looking birthmarks (I forgot what he called it).

Yup, my baby Autumn has a strawberry birthmark. When she was born it wasn't there, but it showed up a couple weeks later. It's a bright red mark on the upper right of her forehead. Her ped says it will start fading now that it's gotten bigger and redder. She's just so beautiful and it doesn't take away from that at all. I am just glad it's not between her eyes or something like that. My doctor said that usually by a year, a year and a half those strawberries fade down to nothing.

Here's a picture of her!

I think you're talking about a Hemangianoma (sp?).

Yes, that's what it's called....what you wrote....except my dd's is starting to get bigger, the doctor said it will eventually disappear but it hasn't grown fully yet.

Nora only has the red "angel" kiss on her forehead as far as I can tell. it will eventually go away, although my last two still have theirs.

my 3yo has a birthmark on the bridge of her nose. it is a little light brown mark and it has gotten bigger since she was born. it doesn't bother me but I bet it drives her crazy when she is a teen. i also have a birthmark (same kind as my 3yo) but it is on my right shin and is about an inch and a half long. it really shows up in the summer when i get a tan.

I'm not exactly sure, but I think Will might have one on his ear.

Connor has one on his bum cheek at the bas of his tail bone, and it has gotten bigger as well. It started out as a purple color, but now it's more brown. It's pretty light though. My 2nd DS has one on the side of his calf, it started out small, but is now about the size of a nickle, and a dark brown color. It has also raised over time, and has black hairs growing out of it. ICK! Good thing he's a boy!
