Just curious. The way Liz sleeps in her toddler bed is backwards, meaning her head is not even by the protective side rails. I'm not sure if she'd really need a bed rail on a full size bottom bunk bed. Also, for those in a 'big bed' how do you find cute character sheets if at all?

Camryn's mattress is basically on the floor so I have no rail up - it has a small bed frame - about the height of a box spring under the mattress - if she falls out of bed, there isn't far for her to go before she hits the floor - I don't think that is much help

We do not have rails, but it is because Joey is in a racecar bed. The sides of the bed come up a few inches above the mattress, enough to keep him in, and becuse of this it would be impossible to use rails any way. He is a crazy sleeper, you can go in to find him in any position or end of the bed, so its a very good thing he is contatined.

Thanks Amie! I showed Liz the mermaid set and she loves it. She asked for it for her birthday (nothing like waiting until now huh? lol) Where's the mermaid from?

That one's from Olive Kids:

Also, I'd say check eBay since sometimes you can get great deals which won't necessarily happen with retail pricing.

I'll have to check out ebay. I found a full sized sheet set of The Little Mermaid at target. I hear ya on the toys. She got a barbie, a stuffed Ming Ming from wonderpets, and a baby doll set (pack and play, stroller, bouncer and playmat) for toys and that's it. Who knows what else she'll get from friends and family. I got her

Ashton moved to a full size bed when he was 23 months old b/c Patrick was born. I bought him a really cute bedding set with trucks, cars & fire trucks from JC Penney. They don't sell it anymore, but check out these incredibly cute girl bedding sets! http://www2.jcpenney.com/jcp/x5.aspx?catid=67276&deptid=66047&cmAMS_T=X3&cmAMS_C=C8&CmCatId=66047|67053
