Hi guys!! I know I have really fallen off the board. I thought I would come by and say "HI" and do a lil update on Eric.
He's doing well, we are getting settled here in 'as far west' Texas as you can get. We had our first visit with the Pediatrician to get all his 'specialist' referrals put in. He seen the new GI, and he ordered a gastric emptying scan and an upper gi/barium swallow study. the swallow study was normal but the GES showed he is still refluxing and he's suppose to empty 50% of the formula in an hour, he emptied 49% so they aren't all that worried about it. They did start him back on nexium for the reflux, I left there very frustrated tho because this doc is not concerned at all about him not eating solids. He thinks because he's holding his own with the elemental formula (peptamen jr) that he's ok. I on the other hand am not ok with this. He then seen the new neurologist, very nice guy and is concerned with him not eating and his sensory issues, he put in for Eric to start his PT/OT/ST again and he also is concerned with the delays and everything else going on and was completely shocked to learn he'd never had an EEG, so, we are scheduled for an EEG on Jan 7th. He also had some blood work done. We go back to see GI for weight check in January and the neuro sometime in Feb. We are also going to be traveling up to Albuquerque, NM for Eric to see a Ped. Geneticist in March and we'll see what this new doc has to say also. So, that's our update.

I added a pic of our new found enjoyment, hiking the Franklin Mountains.

Well you're looking well! I'm glad you've got some new doctors to look at Eric's problems--in addition to having new perspectives. How's the weather where you all are right now? Must be pretty pleasant if you guys can go hiking :)

Thank you Care!

The move went well, well as good as expected going from Eastern Virginia to Western Texas. We had a few meltdowns from Eric, but we survived. We are getting pretty settled. The garage still has unpacked boxes.. but, it's all good.

The girls are doing okay, our oldest ended up being admitted to behavioral hospital, again, shortly after we got here. She spent 11 days there and we are struggling daily with her rage attacks but hope and pray we are on the right track for controlling them and we can have our happy-go-lucky 11 yr old back. Things really have been hectic with trying to control her moods and keeping the other two kids safe during her attacks, not to mention keeping her safe from herself also. I'm thankful that Meg has kinda learned to take Eric in his room or her room and shut the door during the rage so that I can try and help her and not have to worry about where Eric is or what he's getting into or being in the line of fire. He's already been hit with a book, a shoe and shoved down by her... it's awful, I feel like I'm living a nightmare and want to just wake up... Ok, I'm so sorry I kind of went way off there.. but, that has been my life and it's wearing on me.

I'll leave you with another pic on our car ride out here...
