Have you brought your BB to the dentist yet? Maybe I am WAY behind. I have not. I've asked my dentist office twice and they keep telling me around 3 years old. I think I'm going to call soon for an appointment though.

Our dentist says age 3 unless we notice other problems. I have read and heard from some other mom friends that it is now recommended to go after the first tooth.

Daisy sat in the chair last time DH and I went but she wouldn't even open her mouth to have her teeth counted.

yes, DD has seen the dentist many times. The dentist told us not until 3yo when I first asked at 12 months, so I asked the pediatrician about it (all the books and stuff I got from the hospital said one year) and he said to insist until they see her. She did fine when we got in at 14 months and most of her appointments have gone very well. They can't do the xrays until they are older, though...not sure if our office just doesn't stock the right size film or if it's just not made...but she gets cleanings.

My BB Jackson already went...mostly because I had to take my three year old for his first visit so I thought why not just do both.

My dentist said around 3 too. However, they suggested bringing him in with me to my next appointments to get him comfortable with the surroundings. I go in on the 20th and I'm taking him with me. We'll see how it goes...
