Morning. What is that new summary section above this??? Thanks for the suggestions. I'm thinking sports sweatshirt. The problem is he's so tall and they're hard to find to fit him. Laura, sorry but I had to lol at Calla's comment. I think 2 hours of chain making would get boring.

Morning, DH left at 4:00 this morning to get to the airport in time for his flight, of course it ended up getting delayed so he could have slept longer, oh well. The kids have actually been very good this morning though so it's been quiet. Off to the bus in a little bit then to work. We managed to get the Christmas stuff up over the weekend - in and out so we're pretty much done, a few little things, but I'm glad it's done.

Lori, It's totally understandable that you are having a tough time - it hasn't even been a month!

Hilarie, Yay to a new dishwasher and microwave!!! Glad you were able to get some time to shop on your own too!!

Laura, sorry about the dog, we always used to get dogs in the spring/summer too - the weather was just better and since my parents were teachers we were home in the summer to work on house training etc...

Wendi, I can totally relate to crying in the car too - last week was tough with Harry sick and a lack of sleep - he's feeling so much better though - my happy guy is back!!!

I thought I replied a while ago, but I think I instead had a fit with ivillage and rebooted my computer.  Oops!

Laura, LOL at Calla's comment.  Two hours making paper chains.  I bet the girl loved it, anyway.  (My kids have never made them - at home, at least.)

Andrea, how long will DH be gone?  Do you have to work short days to get Phoebe before/after school?

Lori, my DH has trouble with shirt length, too.  I never buy him shirts anymore, because they were always too short.  Blah.  You know, I think Old Navy has "long" length shirts online (at least they used to), and they have college shirts there - you might check them out.

Today is DH's birthday, but he gets nothin'.  :)   With all the major purchases lately (over $2,000 total!!!), I say "happy birthday and merry christmas".   (Seriously - I went to pay his Discover bill and was a bit shocked by the balance!  Luckily, most of it isn't due until next month, so I didn't pay it all.)   I do need to figure out what to do for dinner tonight, though.  DH wouldn't say what he wanted.  I'm considering Papa Murphy's, since we haven't had that for many months.  I think they'd all like it (even if I can't eat it).

I get to get my blood drawn again today.  Awesome.  I'd love to fit the chiropractor in, too, but I never know how long I'll have to wait at the dr's, so it's difficult to schedule appointments back-to-back (since they're about half a mile apart, I wouldn't want to come home in between).

Short work week here.  Did I tell you guys that I have all the Fridays in December off??  I have 4 vacation days I have to use by the end of the year, so that's how I decided to use them (since my supervisor said I can't have the whole week of Christmas off).  Nice to have a short work month!   :)

Ugh - I'm so irritated! I asked and asked and asked (literally - I'm pretty sure I sent 3 emails) to have the girls put on the same cheer squad, because I can't handle two practices and two games per week. (I can barely handle one of each!) Well, we just got team assignments and they're on different squads!!! (They never replied to my emails before.) So I just sent another email, asking to have Allison moved. We'll see if it gets anywhere. Otherwise, I'll be spending about 3 hours every single Saturday at the gym, between both girls' games. And, since DH is working, both girls will be at the gym all that time, too. I hate these sorts of things. Why do I let the kids do them???

Well, it's official - they have to be on different cheer squads. I understand, but I wish someone had replied to my previous emails. (I think one lady gave me the other lady's email WRONG, so she probably never got my emails.) I'm irritated, but at least practices are at the same place/time (even if they are on the one night I said we couldn't do!). Mondays are going to be brutal for a couple of months! School, snack, change, dance, home, change, eat (in the 30 minutes we'll be free), cheer. I guess homework will be after bedtime those nights.

I've been trying to get the gross/musty smell out of my front-loading washer today. And I have a huge headache. I'm guessing it's mildew/mold and that's why I have a headache. Sounds healthy, eh?

Where are you all??

Grrrr to IV! Seriously... Hilarie, I HATE cheering in every sense of the word, lol. I've encouraged my kids to do a lot of things, but that one we stay away from. Doesn't hurt that the girls that cheer are not ones my kids want to be friends with, so that helps. ;) I couldnt get on at work again. My computer just kept giving me a white screen when I went to IV. I also cant get to my gmail from work anymore either. It says I need to turn cookies on but I have no clue how. It explains how, but what it tells me to look for I dont have on my screen. Sigh... I hate technology some days. (I have not changed anything on my computer at all, so I have no idea why its doing this now...) Lots to do tonight.... I'm on here looking for a recipe for tomorrow so I can get the crock ready tonight. Then I have to make dinner (pancakes...well, a pancake cake), bake cookies for tomorrow and run the girls to the library. Tomorrow wont be any better. I have to take Alexis to the dr at 3:50, then dinner and Olivia's school Christmas program. Hope thats it until Friday, when we're doing the babysitting fund raiser. (5 kids on Friday so far, none on Saturday)

Ugh-I did full reply & it went away on me.  :(

Hilarie-It seems like a silly rule that they have to be on different squads.  I would be annoyed.

Lori-hope you get the computer stuff figured out.  That's nice that you have so many kids already signed up-fingers crossed you get lots for Saturday too.

Andrea-Hope your week without DH goes ok.  Those weeks are always harder on me than I think they should be.

Here's a picture of Calla with her BFF next door.  They wore the same shirt this morning (didn't even know they both had the same shirt-so it wasn't planned). And-I'm such a slacker that I just attached all 4 links from photobucket & one of them will work!  :)

Grrrrr again. Does your reply have no editing tools too??? And no quick reply??? Grrrrr. Laura, the girls are cute. I tried all the links before I went to the next post...sigh...lol. I'm whipped. I havent had time to sit since I got home. I mixed up banana muffins and put them in the oven, then mixed up the pancakes. Got them baked. During all that, I also diced some chicken breasts and fried them to have for my lunch (and dinner tonight). Got the kids started eating and mixed up and baked 2 batches of cookies, and made iced tea. Then washed all the dishes. During all that I went off on Olivia and Madelyn. I'm SO sick of their attitudes and back talk. (Thankfully they're doing a not-so-random act of kindness with my aunt tonight...helping at garden therapy at the nursing home where my grandma is.) Alexis said she would go there, but when the girls went to get her, she was sleeping and wouldn't get up to go. So then I had to go off on her and tell her how crappy (but I used a stronger word) it was to tell someone she'd go help and then back out once they got here. I'm so ticked off tonight! I'm ready for bed. Its not even 7:00 yet....

Add me to the list of people annoyed with ivillage, I tried to get on multiple times at work today - I could read, but it wouldn't let me login so I couldn't post!! DH is gone at least until Thursday, my parents will be here tomorrow and leave Wednesday morning so that will help out a lot.

Hilarie - I have to admit after hearing your hearing tale, I'm glad my kids are as far apart as they are - of course I'm sure we'll have other issues later, but for the moment it's not too bad.

Laura - Cute pic of the girls!
