Yay, Serena is back!
Hi, Serena! Glad to hear you are enjoying the new house. Hope Spencer is feeling better.
Lori, good luck at the dentist today. I agree, it is too early to be up.
It snowed last night. Maybe an inch, if that, but T is going to love it. I think I'll let him out this morning before school. I haven't watched the news yet but I think more is coming Tuesday or Wednesday.
T went to a
Good morning, everyone! :)
Lori, hope everything goes well at the dentist. I have a phobia and haven't been in way too long. My teeth will all fall out.
Wendi, I didn't think dropoff parties started this young. At least around here they don't. I haven't been to one yet, and I wouldn't leave my kid if I didn't know the parents well.
Serena, can you change the car appt? That sounds awful. Feel better!
Wendi, I would expect to drop my kid.
I just shouted that out loud and woke up the dog. LOL!
I am SOOOO excited for you! Congratulations!!!
Drat- leave for a couple of weeks and Jenna goes and gets herself knocked up!!! Maybe I should step away more often- that is awesome news.
Congrats Jenna! Whooooooo hoooooooo!!!!!!
Lori-Hope you have a great time at the concert. I can't wait for those days. Right now the preschool does a "concert" but it's in the classroom & everyone squishes in & you can hardly see. Not the greatest-but fun to see how excited the kids are.
As for the b-day party debate. I think it depends on how well you know the parents. If it were a good friend of Calla's I would leave her. However if it was a school friend that I didn't know that well I'd stay. Most of the parties we've been to have been at somewhere "big" like the carousel or the pool & so we always stay in those places. Calla said that she wants to have her party at home this year so I told her she can have 5 friends (for her 5th b-day) and I will say in the invite that the parents can drop them off or stay-whatever they'd like. All of the kids that will be invited have been to our house for a playdate before (all but one has stayed without her mom too). So I think that most of them would be ok with just dropping them off-but we'll see. I also think that Calla might change her mind before then & want a bigger party somewhere else. Summary-I have never left her alone for a b-day party-but would consider it...
It is -1 out this morning but with the wind chill it feels like -23. BURRR!!! I have a ton of work today & the sitter will be here. So hopefully I can make some good progress.
Also-anyone watch the Amazing Race finale last night? You could see "my" monorail in the background 2 different times. I was so excited-yeah-I'm that much of a dork. ;)
