I have a headache.
Brenna starts volleyball camp tonight.
Lori-Sounds busy & fun around there. Hope the volleyball goes well. I hated deciding between v-ball & soccer in high school. I picked soccer but wish I had gone with v-ball because I think I was better at that-but I liked soccer better at the time. (Maybe not the coach though)
Wendi-Crazy about the headstone. I'd be crabby about it all. Sorry!
Hilarie-Hope you enjoyed your time without the girls around. Sometimes I really wish my parents were closer-but then I realize that there's a lot of other "stuff" with having family close too. I kind of like our space.
Not sure if I've mentioned that my heel on my right foot has been hurting since right after Christmas. I assume it's Plantar Fasciitis-which is unfortunately pretty common. So I've been dealing with it & trying to rest it. But after playing soccer yesterday it really started to kill me last night. It's crazy because it doesn't hurt when I am up & going (or not terrible pain at least) but once I sit down & then stand up again it kills. Well-last night it was a shooting pain in my foot. DH said I should go to the doctor. But I know a doc will tell me I need to "rest" it-but how does a mom rest her foot?!?!? So think I'll just try to relax a bit more & hold off walking & see if that helps some. Fingers crossed.
Not much here today. I have a busy week after today-so trying to get ahead of the curve on things like laundry & such.
And-I was supposed to hear on the monorail in Brazil last week-still no word so I continue to wait. So frustrating... But I figure with the flooding in Rio that maybe it delayed things-even thought the monorail is in Sao Paulo.
Lori, sorry about the headache. When do you leave for your trip again? My memory is so bad.
Wendi, that stinks about all the drama with the headstone.
Laura, I've had plantar fasciitis and it is really annoying. I hope you can manage to stay off your foot for a while. I can't believe you still haven't heard about the monorail yet.
Connor had a fever last night out of nowhere so I kept him home from school today. Of course he is fine this morning. I hope it stays away because I'm planning a baby shower for my friend tomorrow.
Jenna-I hate the mystery temperatures. Drives me crazy! I've kept Calla out of school many times for that. These bodies are crazy things!
eta: I forgot to ask what you did for your heel pain? Any advice? Did you go to a doc or did it just get better? The stuff I read said it was common for people over 40. I'm only 39!!!! Stupid body is falling apart early. ;)
Did I mention THEY'RE HERE POURING MY PATIO?????
Laura, there really isn't much to be done about plantar fasciitis. I just let it run its course and eventually felt better.
Glad the guys showed up to pour the patio, Lori. Is that and the yard all there is left to do?
That poor dog. I hope someone will take her.
Stay away, fever!
Laura, I am a 20-year veteran of Plantar Fasciitis.
Speaking of "mystery fever", Allison was puking in the middle of the night at my parents' house.
Hilarie-Thanks for the info on the foot stuff. Ugh. I just want it to go away. I've been wearing shoes all the time (either running shoes or my Keens which seem to feel the best). My dad said to buy a Dr Scholl's insert for heel pain & just see if that helps before going to the doc. So I'll try that along with the exercises/stretches that you told me about. Thanks!
Hope DH is nicer soon. Sounds like a busy day there (as always). Hope hockey is fun.
I think the patio and yard is it!
