Anyone Blog?

I'm thinking of starting up a password protected blog to document a little project I'm working on. Does anyone here blog? If so, what do you use and how easy is it? Is it free?

My blog will be pretty image intense - I have a lot of scanned documents, etc. I'll be putting up.

BTW, I know nothing about HTML or designing websites. I need something an idiot could use!
