Flu Shot Intel

Annie had her 2 year check-up today and I figured I'd get the girls their seasonal flu shots since we were going to be at the docs anyway. Well, he took a look at Molly (nose dripping, a little loopy) and it turns out Molly has a sinus infection and Annie has a cold, so our pediatrician ended up pushing off the shots.
But, I did learn something interesting I wanted to pass along. The doctor said that the girls should come back in about a week or two when he has the SWINE FLU vaccine so they can get both the SEASONAL and the SWINE FLU shot AT THE SAME TIME. This was a revellation to me since everything I've heard (from who, I'm not sure...LOL) is that you need to wait a few weeks between shots. He said "Nope. You can get them at the same time but you'll have to return in 4 weeks for the girls to get their swine flu booster."
While I was at the pharmacy filling Molly's prescription, I asked the pharmacist if that was for real. She said, "Yes. It is best to get them both at the same time. If you don't, you must wait a few weeks between shots." Interesting. So, I might have made a mistake by getting my seasonal flu shot last Friday. I probably should've had them both done at the same time at the pediatricians.
I know this is a semi-hot topic and some folks won't be getting any kind of flu shot (I think someone responded, "HELL TO THE NO." down in the swine flu shot thread in Hot Topics - LOL) - but, I wanted to pass along my intel from today.
