McDonalds! NOOOOOOOO!!!

It's these new Happy Meal Toys! The Wizard of Oz dolls? OMG. I love them. At first, I thought they were creepy - now, I "need" all of them. And all because I stopped there once for iced coffee and saw the sign and decided to pick up a Happy Meal too to see what they were all about. When Molly opened it and said, "Look Mommy! Her eyes blink!" I just *had* to get the series.

And now, I've been two days in a row to McDonalds. Oh my gosh. Call the guy from "Super Size Me." We're headed down the primrose path to heart disease.

BLAST YOU, HAPPY MEAL TOY CREATORS!

I used to have a policy of not buying happy meal but food items individually because I didn't want her to connect McDonald's with fun and toys. But I've relaxed quite a bit. Few nights ago we were coming home from a whole day at the festival it was wayyyyyyy after her bedtime and she said she was hungry. We were still an hour away from home so we picked up chicken nuggets and apple slices and milk. The guy gave us a toy. A blue girl doll with blue hair - so freaky and scary I almost gasped. I was thinking to myself WTF is this. I'm LOL-ing that you like them. If you don't have the blue freaky girl I'll mail it to you :). It's on the floor of my car.

LMAO! You got the "Ziggy Stardust" Doll! LOL! What _is_ that one with the blue hair? I'm wracking my brain to figure out what character in the Wizard of Oz that is! DH and I saw the picture on the Happy Meal box and said, "Who the heck is that? Ziggy Stardust?" That one is the creepiest of the bunch, by far.

Ha ha! It would probably be more expensive for you to ship it then it would be for me to just spend the next couple of days clogging my arteries. But that was so sweet of you to offer!

When I asked how much it would be to just buy the toy, they told me it was $1.79! Argh! I figured I might as well get the meal...My obsession is strong, though. I may need to move to where they sell them for $1.00.

:)

We're yet to play with any of the toys from McD's. They all seem cheap and stupid to me. But the Stardust character is creepyyyyy :).
LOL about moving to the place where they sell them for

They used to see them for $1 but most stores have raised the price to $1.79 each.

Ashley, we are going back again soon too because the other day Annika got the adorable little Tin Man! We own the Wizard of Oz movie and Annika was thrilled with her little tin man. It was Annika who noticed that he "sleeps." I think they're so cute. :) We'll be clogging our arteries for a Scarecrow and a Dorothy too...

Normally when we go, we just get her a $1.39 bacon cheeseburger and we all share a big fries... but now I think she's going to be hooked on getting a meal for herself and a toy... oh dear... it was cheap while it lasted.

We probably hit the place every two weeks or so; we like to take her grandma to McDs when we visit her in the nursing home because she likes the salty fries. She and Annika get all excited together in the car, and normally we can't persuade DH's mom to go outside!

We have also been to McD's recently. Just tonight actually. I admit I bought the Happy Meal for the creepy little toy. lol. We usually get the $1 cheeseburgers and share fries.

What started this was, my friend took her last week for a special treat and Annelise got the tin man. I was really creeped out at first, too. We got Glinda the Good Witch tonight.

We've had a couple a couple kids' meal toys that have been a hit. There was a cash register, one of the special toys, and we've had it for over a year. lol. All three of the kids love it.
