(((HUGS))) I hope Jamie gets paid ASAP! I'm sorry to hear they've cut your job for next year. I'm actually stunned that the state can get away with not paying someone! WHAT THE HECK?!

ARGH!

I'm sorry you're going through this and I'm keeping you in my thoughts and prayers. I hope things turn around soon!

I was so sad when I read your post. You really have a lot on your plate. I know how important your job was to you, and how much you were hoping to get that position for full time. It really sucks that you won't be able to stay there next year. I know there is nothing much in your area that you could do in your field. Is there any way you could look into teaching high school instead or would that be difficult due to certifications? I'm wondering what it would take for you to qualify for guidance councelor position. If it's a matter of a class or two would you consider taking them and changing career paths?

I can't believe that the state would owe your dh that much money for over a year!!! That's a crime really. Is there anything his supervisiors could do to speed it up? Could you take a short term loan until the money comes in?

I'm so sorry you have this to deal with. Hang in there! And you'r not a crappy CL, you've always been there for each of us when we needed support. You've worked hard to keep the board going, you've posted tons of fun and informative posts for all of us to enjoy. Take care of yourself and your family and have faith that things will change for the better.

Thanks Irena - your post made me smile :o)

To teach high school, I'd have to get certified, and would need more classes.
