Can a baby sleep too much?

I'm a little worried about Hannah. She seems to sleep ALL the time. She is constantly in her swing sleeping, wakes up off and on, and every 3 hours she eats. I'm not on a schedule at all, she seems to be though. She sleeps well at night, waking only to eat. It's so different than with Evelyn. She didn't need to sleep hardly at all. She was always awake, happy, just awake. Hannah is always sleeping. I feel like I'm missing out on things with her.

I wouldn't worry about it. As long as she is really "awake" when she is up and having a good time, verses cranky while awake. Then I would think maybe she is over sleeping. DS#1 used to get like that (I feel I am to blame). We would co sleep, and if I didn't want to get up yet and still wanted to sleep more, I would just whip out the old boob and the yummy mommy juice would put him right to sleep LOL :) Yes, I would get an extra 30 min-1 hr of sleep by doing this, but I would then pay for it the rest of the day with a cranky baby.
