Last DYK for the year.  And what a year it has been for me.  I got the condo in Jan, moved in Feb, started the new job and the odosey that was Tay's broken foot in March.  His foot took us to Aug.  I got my skin cancer diagonsis in Sept and had surgery in Oct and stitches out in Nov.  I am tired!

Ugh - Val…I am praying 2014 will be better for us all. Lots of craziness in 2013, for sure!

Sounds like everyone had a great Thanksgiving! Our hotel was perfect...we had a 2-br suite at Residence Inn. We had to change rooms because the first one smelled like smoke (it was really really bad) but it was so nice having the kitchen. We actually got the kids to sleep in their own room for the most part. We even got to have hotel sex! (No lock on the BR door though, so we did have one interruption. LOL) And we got to meet up with Alicia, Jordan and Lauren! I loved Redmond. Could totally see myself living there.

Karen - did you say the oven thermometers were unreliable? My oven temp seems very unpredictable. I was thinking about getting something that sits in the oven so I can monitor the temp and adjust accordingly. I made baked chicken two Sundays in a row with very different results. It was great the first time but the second time it seemed to run hotter. It turned out ok but I wasn't able to get any drippings out of it for gravy…I think because it cooked too fast.

G's stepmom took the kids to see Frozen on Saturday. G and I went to REI then had a few drinks and appetizers at BJs. It was a short date, but better than nothing. Then we met them at the mall courtyard where they had jumpers and a carousel. Santa was on an extended break, but the kids got their pics taken with goats. (I know, weird…some nonprofit that donates goats to impoverished people in Africa.)

Thanks for the tip on the continuous shoot setting, Christine. I bet that would be great for photographing kids. I'm going to put the camera to good use and do my own Christmas pics of the kids this year.

You must have missed it, K found out that J was having an affair for 3 months about 3 weeks ago. She kicked him out of the house for about 2 weeks. Thanksgiving was kind of strange knowing it but not talking about it at all.
