oh, and michelle, i have been poking around your paleo pin board. i am trying so hard to eliminate the sugar cravings, i was trying a few paleo recipes amongst the south beach. i was doing really well for 5 days, today was a bad day, but tonight i am back on track. it is hard to clean up the bad habits...

Let's try this again! Karen, if you are really struggling with the sugar thing, you might want to try going back to South Beach Phase I (which is pretty much Paleo but you're allowed to have dairy) for 2 weeks. I do not miss bread at all...just pasta! LOL And tortillas...I really wanted a burrito the other night. I made that stuffed pumpkin recipe on my Pinterest instead. It was so so so good! I did a mix of pork sausage and hamburger. Delish...

Laurie, I thought of you today as we ran from one birthday party to another. Exhausting!

I also stood in line for 45 minutes to sign J up for basketball. Signups started at 9 and I didn't get there til 11:15. A lady in front of me said the line at 9 was insane and she ended up leaving and coming back. The things we do for our kids!

Luke is back--yay! I will admit though I have been a total grump the last few days. We need to have a talk about the future but haven't had the right time yet. All my thoughts and frustrations are eating at me and making me crabby. I need to get them out!

I'm running again and despite feeling SO out of shape and so slow, it feels good to be running. I even signed up for a 5k in december (part of my job) and a half marathon next April. The half marathon is a REALLY low key race and only $35 so I figure if I bail at the last minute it's not a huge loss. I just need something to keep me focused and motivated.

So dh wants to start a pest control company in Seattle....ugh! The only thing that makes me excited about that would be living near my family...though I can also see that potentially causing me anxiety. I just don't think moving to Seattle where the cost of living is much higher and starting a new business is a good idea. I think being poor and feeling trapped inside by the rainy gray weather would depress me.

Karen, I hadn't heard of MOOCs but just looked into it. So cool! I'm going to encourage dh to look into them. I think he could really benefit AND he has lots of free time right now. Thanks for posting that!

A, I am so sorry that your dh cannot make up his mind of what he wants to do when he grows up. That has got to be so very hard on you. I am glad that you are feeling better. Did you get meds or was it just a cold?
