I can't belive that summer is over. It went by so fast for us.
Mom to Addison (7) & Gabriel (4)
Laurie, I thought of you today as we ran from one birthday party to another. Exhausting!
I also stood in line for 45 minutes to sign J up for basketball. Signups started at 9 and I didn't get there til 11:15. A lady in front of me said the line at 9 was insane and she ended up leaving and coming back. The things we do for our kids!
Luke is back--yay! I will admit though I have been a total grump the last few days. We need to have a talk about the future but haven't had the right time yet. All my thoughts and frustrations are eating at me and making me crabby. I need to get them out!
I'm running again and despite feeling SO out of shape and so slow, it feels good to be running. I even signed up for a 5k in december (part of my job) and a half marathon next April. The half marathon is a REALLY low key race and only $35 so I figure if I bail at the last minute it's not a huge loss. I just need something to keep me focused and motivated.
So dh wants to start a pest control company in Seattle....ugh! The only thing that makes me excited about that would be living near my family...though I can also see that potentially causing me anxiety. I just don't think moving to Seattle where the cost of living is much higher and starting a new business is a good idea. I think being poor and feeling trapped inside by the rainy gray weather would depress me.
Karen, I hadn't heard of MOOCs but just looked into it. So cool! I'm going to encourage dh to look into them. I think he could really benefit AND he has lots of free time right now. Thanks for posting that!
