I can't belive that summer is over. It went by so fast for us.
We are going to Seattle and Chicago this fall! My parents offered to fly us out so we'll spend ten days in Seattle and then fly to Chicago for dh's grandpa's 90th birthday. It will be so nice to take a vacation as a family and to have time together after this crazy summer.
I want to cut my head off. I got the flu on Tuesday and am still miserable. The fever/chills/aches are mostly gone but the cough is driving me crazy and making my head and neck hurt. Thursday morning I couldn't even imagine driving Jordan to school so I took him late after the ibuprofen kicked in. I really have no idea how single parents do it. My mil is here now though--hallelujah!--and dh FINALLY comes home on Wednesday.
Val - 8:30 on a Saturday? Ugh. I would have a hard time getting to that. Btw, I think of you often. Single parenting is HARD. You are amazing in my book.
Karen - My mom told me one time that one thing she regrets is not continuing to read to us even after we could read ourselves. She looks back and misses that one on one time with each of us. I think it is awesome that you guys are reading the HP books. Jordan brought home Captain Underpants and Flat Stanley. Shoot me now!
Michelle - I hope you are having a wonderful time with your sister this weekend!!!
Y - 90 in the city-yuck! Don't the buildings amplify it? I'm sorry about your fil. It stinks that it has become a burden on you and your husband.
Y, I am so sorry that your fil and mil are causing so much drama. You all do not deserve to be any part of that. And thanks. I think I might take them out myself if they start to bug me. 2 little snips shouldn't be to hard, right?
If i were there I would have taken your stitches out Val... Cant be harder than when I had to take stiches off someones eyelid!
aww thats so sweet Karen. I am waiting next year to read the Harry Potter book with her. Too many difficult/made up words! We did the first two books from little house on the prairie so plan to finish that series.
