We still have power!  So far it hasn't been too bad, but its still windy.  I think we are about halfway through.

Laurie, How are you guys holding up? I've been watching videos on weather.com and they are showing some crazy footage. Stay safe!

Michelle, i got glow sticks at the dollar store, but of course they did not last long for decorations. i still have some for the kids to go crazy with.... Laurie, i hear it is getting pretty bad around where mil lives. every street around her is impassible. we do not think she has water in her house yet, but many of the houses on the beach are flooded and she is only 2 miles from the sound and 1 mile from the river, so it may just be a matter of time... Lily and i are sick as dogs. she is staying home again tomorrow. unfortunately i can not. i have to rely on all the cold drugs to get me through...i am trying to find a way to wear sweats to work tomorrow. i think i can pull it off...

Laurie, I've been thinking of you guys all morning. Hope all is well!

Karen, I hope you get to wear sweats today. I am having a sweats day myself. Homework due and it's cold outside. No reason to get dressed for the day.

Abby woke up again last night. She's almost 14 months--she really should be sleeping through the night by now! I let her cry it out. She cried off and on for over an hour. I got her this morning and her feet were ICE cold. She was probably crying cause she was freezing. :( Mother of the year award goes to me.

The best part. I was most worried that Jordan was miserable with her crying since they are in the same room. This morning we asked him if he was bothered and he had no idea she was crying last night. ?!?!?!

Ugh. Sorry Karen. I hope the cold meds help you enough that you're not too miserable. I had a fever during the night but it broke. Now I still have the aches. Think I'll be spending another day in bed!

Awwwww...BTDT, Alicia. It's hard especially this time of the year...roasting during the day and freezing at night. At least Gabe is to the age where he will cover himself up if he is cold.

So we made it through the storm without losing power and hardly any branches.  Its pretty bad along the shoreline because of the storm surge.  Many trees down there too.  Several of my friends, parents of kids the girls go to school with, don't have power.  I saw 3 patients today but then came home...tricky finding alternate roads to ones that are blocked.  No school again tomorrow so the girls are going to daycare.  We are so lucky they are flexible and will take them.  I called and asked as soon as I got the call from school.  They have their Halloween party tomorrow too so they can participate in that.
