Michelle, I soooooo sympathize with the poop issues. We were doing mostly lactose free diet with B for the last few weeks. We all agreed that we did not think it changed anything so on Tuesday we switched back. He has had non-stop diarrhea (4+ a day) since then. His little butt is in horrible shape. He has a rash on his testicles and down his inner thighs and the telltale ring around his anus. He thrashes and cries during diaper changes. DH is picking up lactose free milk on the way home. I hope it resolves quickly. I feel so bad for the little guy.
Karen!! What in the world are you taking on now, crazy girl? Are you for hire? I need to refi my mortage and incorporate my business...all in my spare time. Ugh.
The last few weeks of hellish work schedules were for Paranormal Activity 4 which opens tomorrow... Just a little shameless self promotion. My credit is look development. I designed the "look" of the laptop footage and the iphone footage.
In order to get into the spirit of halloween (which is not hard as October is my favorite time of year), I have made a goal of watching a horror movie off netflix every other night. Yay! I am also planning my pumpkin carving party (adult party). I am making red beans and rice mostly because it is forgiving and can cook forever. But for the desserts and appetizers, i am trying to come up with some gross/cool options...
Yay, congrats! They sure are cranking out that series...wasn't the last one just last summer? As much as I would like to support a friend...I don't think I will be watching that movie. LOL I'm a big scaredy-cat!
Last post to catch up.... We noticed a big difference in Gray in the last 2 weeks, he really slowed down and seemed constipated, eating less, peeing less... I took him to the vet of saturday, and things have indeed gotten worse. we are at the point where we need to give him subcutaneous fluids. I have to learn how. It is supposed to be quick and not hurt them which is the only reason we agrees to do it. besides, he got fluids at the vet and really perky up. you could tell that is made him feel better. I think we are close to the end. but at the same time, he still sits next to me at night and begs for scratches and purrs. I can not put him down yet. Makes me sad, but he is 18 and has had a very good life....
Hmmmm...no idea. When you said gross option for dessert the immediate thing that popped into my mind was jello with fingernails mixed into it but I have no idea how you would do that. Isn't that a strange epiphany? Must have seen something on pinterest.
:( (((hugs))) 18 years is a wonderful life and I hope that his time left here is peaceful for you both! It is certainly difficult to deal with the shorter lifespans of our furry friends that give us so much joy!
