Haha - no, the owls come out in the morning for a few hours to get some sun before they go back underground to sleep for the day. They are a protected species so when a subdivision is built the builders can't develop the lots where they find owls so people generally know where they are. Apparently the DNR can relocate them them but it's a several year process.
Yikes! Already?! I was thinking we would give him the talk (at least the first part) around age 8. Looks like it might be sooner than I thought. It sounds like you all have great answers. Maybe I'll just send him to your house and you guys can explain it. :)
I did die the other day. I was upstairs cleaning and I heard Jordan and the two middle school kids talking downstairs trying to figure out when I was going to have my baby. They were calculating how many months it takes for a baby to grow and when I should be due-haha. I was ready to run down the stairs and interrupt if the older boys got into too much detail.
