I guess you do! A friend of mine just posted a pic of her back yard. She loves Disney too so she put in a flower bed in she shape of Mickey's head. It turned out so cute.

Michelle, I'd go for the kindy 1stgrade combo personally, if i saw the slightest hint that she was ready. It is good that they have an assessment - it will help you make the decision.

Alicia, just tell the office that you are not sure of your schedule for the following week and you will have to call the office in a few days. You owe them an excuse.

I am looking into bunkbeds too. I was thinking about a double on bottom and twin on top. Lily is in a little Ikea bed right now, but when B leaves the crib, I think we might put them in the bunks. The only thing I have to figure out is how I will tuck her in on the top without waking him on the bottom (she goes to bed an hour later).

I hope you are in bed Yuliya. You have to be up early :)
Day 2 was not as good, but okay. Lily was so excited to go in the gate and find her line herself. I barely got a kiss. When I picked her up, she was moody and subdued, but said she had a great time. Had great things to say about school. I finally figured out that she was really hungry. She melted down when we got home because I had to leave - I was puring milk down her throat, trying to get her blood sugar up before I ran back to work. She was not really calm when I left, but she was on the mend. I texted the nanny later to check on her and of course she perked up quickly and had fun with the other kids (the nanny network met at our place - 12 kids - madness!).

LOL @ the nanny network, Karen! 12 kids...oh my! I'm glad to hear Day 2 went ok. How much longer are you going to pick her up before nanny takes over? Will that interfere with B's nap?

Yeah, those double/single bunk beds are cool! Our kids bedrooms our soooo small. Couldn't do it! As it is, I'm trying to figure out how the heck we're even going to fit a twin-size bed in Gabe's room and leave room to walk. We'll have to measure before making the leap. Depending on the room layout that might not work either, if it blocks the window. I should probably buy a twin mattress, first, when we get to that point to figure out how it will lay out. His room has weird angles. I wish I could cut down the size of our bathroom to give him more bedroom space....but that would be beyond expensive! If we decide he needs more space when he gets older, we could swap out his bedroom with the larger guest room and just get a futon or something for guests. It's not like we have a lot of overnight guests.

Thanks, Karen...I think I will sign her up for the combo class! She's pretty adaptable.
