I will pick her up until they decide which groups she is in - 2 weeks or so. It will mess with his nap, most likely. I want to wait until we know so our nanny only has to adjust his schedule once.

The nanny network. I'm not kidding. We live in a very well to do neighborhood (on the poor poor side). There are many big actors and actresses in our hood. So there really is a huge nanny network. B's closest playmate besides our neighbors is the son of a big actor (no I will not say). Lives next to a pop singer. I never see these people, mind you. But every once in a while, you will see the paparazzi at the Coffee Bean and you wonder who they are tracking (most of the disney starlets I don't even recognize).

The kids share a decent size room. It is longer than wide, so I'm thinking of putting it at the end of the long end so there is still a lot of room in the middle. I have to think more about the bedtime routine... And if Lily would be able to sleep on the top. Sharing a room is tricky...

When I went to the open house for Kindy, they told us to talk to our kids. Play simple games with them that help them learn colors, counting to 20, letters. WHA?!?! In preschool she is way beyond this. I think they have to shoot for lower basic requirements for entering Kindy to catch everyone, stuff I bet Addison is way beyond. Go for the more advanced class!

I bet it's tricky, with them sharing a room! You almost have to space out their bedtimes, so Brady is good and racked out by the time you put Lily down, right? I lived on a farm as a kid with a total of 8 kids in the combined family, and I think we usually had about 4 kids per room. You figure it out!

Thanks, K, that's what I'm thinking. Addison has been in organized daycare/pre-k since she was 15 months old. I think they gear kindy to accommodate kids who have had far less formal guidance? And from what I've heard, pre-k teachings are not necessary to their development...they all get on the same page in kindy, regardless of their at-home vs. preschool background. You just freak out it a little bit when you see kids that are super-advanced and worry that your child will be behind the 8-ball compared to others in her class. I don't want to set her up for failure! I think we'll be ok though.

Yeah to graduate from kindergarten here in public school you have to count to 20. Everyone is coming from different backgrounds. They will all be at the same level soon.
That kindy - 1 options sounds nice!

So Camryn woke up with some hives again, mostly on her feet, legs and a few on her lower belly, below her belly button.

Of course by the time we got to the doctor the hives had almost faded.

okay. Today I cried. I don't know what happened. I gave her a hug and kiss and she was off through the gate with all the other kids - big kids. And she is a big kid too. And it just hit me like a ton of bricks.

just you wait.
