Val - glad to hear you got a good vibe from Tay's teachers! Good luck getting the boys out of the house so early. Not looking forward to being on a strict schedule in the mornings once kindy starts. Even when I was going to the office every day, I often didn't leave the house until 8:30. Now we'll have to leave by 7:30, maybe earlier!

Sounds like you had an awesomely fun day, Laurie! You needed a day of eating crap. It must be tough to live with having to deal with a restricted menu. It's great you have so many restaurants that serve GF foods!

Haha. Addison hates when I sing too. IDK what that's all about. She's even more tone deaf than I am! LOL

help!
Ok. Using slow cooker. The recipe I am using doesn't say anything about water. Do I need to add any?

day 1 of invisaign complete. My teeth are sore, but that is no surprise. This is my new diet plan. I have to wear these suckers 22 hours a day. I can not eat with them so that means no more snacking. Also, I have to brush and rinse before putting them back in, so that's 5 or 6 times a day. And no coffee (really I don't think I'm supposed to drink anything but water) with them in b/c it can encourage cavities. So I have to slam my 2 cups in the morning instead of sipping for hours. That one hurts the most. I have to figure out wine! The receptionist said she used straws... None of this woud have changed my decision. I want my teeth fixed. Still, the next year is going to be tough!

i am trying to find a resource for you with general tips. i know i have one somewhere. if it is a slow cooker recipe specifically, then you probably don't need any. slow cookers need less liquid because it is such a low temp. that is another reason not to lift the lid until it is time, by the way.

I'm glad the girls slept in for you this morning, Laurie. Gabe does sometimes but it's pretty rare for Addison to sleep past 6:30.

Addison and I are going shoe shopping today. Sigh. I didn't see anything that I thought she'd like on StrideRite.com, so I think we'll try Marshalls, and Kohls first. Target had cute Hello Kitty shoes that I know she'll like, but they didn't seem very durable. I really need to hit the mall too to get some makeup and return Gabe's shorts, but I doubt I'll have the energy for it after all of that. I guess that's my last resort plan for next weekend. I need to get G shoes today too.

Yes, you need to add water! It's a crock pot...not a roaster, right? They look similar, but you use water with a crock pot and no water with a roaster.
