val, if it makes you feel better, kids' interocular distance (distance between the eyes) is often to small to see 3d accurately. That is usually why they complain of headaches (until they are old enough to realize you won't take them if they complain). 3d was designed - rather unconsciously - for adult physiology.

We usually try to pack food for the kids when we're going places like that . I've found it to be a pain finding a restaurant that has food everyone likes, too. Have a great time!

I had the opposite problem...I was a super-producer! It caused problems with Gabe's tummy so I had to do blockfeeding...PITA. When I pumped during the day at work I got 15-20 oz. Can you say moooooo?

DH took Addison to her first 3D movie when she was 2.5, almost 3yo. She wouldn't keep the glasses on and watched the movie without them! It was "how to train your dragon." The next time he took her to one, she was better about it. I have no desire to see a movie in 3D, unless it was something really cool, like Avatar.

That's interesting about the 3d, Karen. We took J to a screening of Tangled last year and he kept taking the glasses off. Now I know why.

Hope you had fun at the zoo today Laurie! I'm all about packing snacks/lunches too. I hate paying for overpriced food and then J not eating it.

Just was reading the Yahoo coverage of Hurricane Irene. Scary! Stay safe, my friends!

It looks like NC is getting hit now. I hope Alicia doesn't live close to the coast!
