This is hilarious! We are at a puppet show at the cultural arts center and already two kids have been carried out hysterically crying. Small kids and puppets are not a good combination!

Yes, Gabe is a biter. He did well for a few months but has regressed the past two weeks when he got moved to a new class and there was another biter. I don't think he's bit anyone in the past couple of days. Hope it was just a passing thing. His teacher isn't too concerned about it.

When Addison was around 2 there was a 1yo in her class that was a horrible biter. I didn't make a big deal out of it until I had to take her to the doctor because one of the bites got infected. She was getting bit every day...I was done! And the girl was biting other kids too! I know it wasn't her fault and wasn't her parents fault, so I felt bad making a stink about it, but one time Addison got bit on the face and all I could think about, was what if a face bite got infected and caused a scar? Ugh. It's a tough situation. They put a teacher on the girl full-time for a while and that was the end of it! LOL

Good for you, Laurie! I'm going to throw my first big check in Oct. at our taxes (which we still haven't paid for this year) then I'm going to start tackling our credit cards. I'm hoping we'll break even this year, now that we have a big mortgage interest deduction. We didn't have that last year and it killed us! Now that Gabe is in legit daycare (vs paying a nanny under the table) we can write some of that off too.

Oh yes, the deductions for daycare help too.

When I was interviewing daycares I asked about the biting thing because Gabe was mauling my friend's poor little girl...like several times a day! It was awful. They all said it was a normal phase, and they would work with us. I know some daycares are hardcore about that though. Three strikes and you are out.
