Hahahaha. No screaming. But she was pushing me out the door in the morning and pulling me in at pickup. She wanted to show me all the cool things about her new room. And I got to talk to her teacher one on one. So that was good.

Laurie, we went through something similar a few weeks back where Lily kept breaking out with painful blisters on the bottoms of her feet. Never figured out what it was but it happened every couple days for about 2 weeks. Luckily it got better with benadryl (and later benadryl topical spray). It was an allergic reaction. Once it completely resolved, it didn't come back. Hopefully Camryn's hives are nothing serious and just a mystery reaction.

Michelle, I had to make a special trip to the school to pick up her info packet, but they did not include a supply list. I went to the orientation, and asked the teacher, she didn't know. Finally I walked down the office to get one. Really? Why weren't they in the packet I had to leave work to pick up. No lists in the classroom? Sigh. So disorganized - the right hand does not know what the left is doing. And we have a early bird/ late bird structure for the classes. They will decided which "bird" she is in 2 weeks. So I can't plan until I know. You'd think the schools might consider working parents, since there are so many of us. But then again, I guess they don't have to. Frustrating.

This weekend we smoked ribs. Mmmmm, ribs. The worst thing about this recipe is that I have to open a bottle of champagne for the braise. A whole bottle, that I then drink, while smoking (ribs). It makes for a good Sunday.

I am having leftovers for dinner tonight. We are getting pretty good at this. I have to chase this with a salad to make up for it.

Jeez, Karen, I don't feel so bad about A's school then! (yet) What's funny is around 5p I got and email from the listserv then around 6p they had a telephone autodial recorded call with BTS info and telling ppl that the website had been updated. I'd like to think it all happened because I pointed out that the website had old info but I know it was just a coincidence because there is no way they could have pulled all that together in the span of 4-5 hours! ;)

Mmmm...sounds yummy, Karen! I was at Trader Joes yesterday and they had prosecco for $6.99 a bottle. I almost grabbed a bottle to try it out but I thought then I'd have to drink the whole thing. Now I'm wishing I would have...sounds like a good Friday night "project!"

What's wrong with drinking the whole thing?!?! Oooops. I mean, I only drink a glass or 2 - and only with meals!

There is a good italian place down the street and when we order takeout, I walk down to place the order and have a glass of prosecco while I wait.

I just roasted some grape tomatoes and drizzled them with a homemade balsamic vinegar dressing. I should have stuck with that for dinner instead of having any of the ribs.
