Well, I think we're looking at 48 kid-free hours but I have a major work deadline tomorrow so I won't be celebrating the entire time. We're planning 1-2 movies, sushi dinner, and possibly going to look at new cars! We're not buying now but I want to this year and I want to decide on something so when we find the right timing we can jump on it. We're getting the kids back Sunday before Noon. The last time we got the weekend off it was to demo our backyard so I'm very happy that no manual labor is involved this time!
So excited!!! I'm happy to report that there were no surprises getting our taxes done today. In fact, he might be able to get us money back for a mistake on last year's taxes. And if I put money in an IRA he can save us even more! The best part is I don't have to put the money in until October but I can pay less now (different rules for business owners, I think). Sweet. I think I'm going to buy my mac next week, now that I know what we owe. The software I needed was on sale until 2/4 so I am ordering it tomorrow. I can't wait...it's one of those things that I don't need every day, but when I need it, I REALLY need it. One of my clients is rebranding and we have to re-do EVERYTHING so it will certainly come in handy.
great news, michelle. about the kids and the taxes. we were supposed to have a date tomorrow night, but i am sick again... 3 times in 2months. i will live vicariously through you.
Yeah, I shouldn't say they are "done." There were a few items we forgot to gather to write off the home office-related expenses, auto licensing, G's school loan, etc. We always forget something and have "homework."
I hope B's stomach bug passes quickly, Christine...G was sick for like 6 days. It was brutal. I would get immodium and a prescription antinausea early....that might help him get over it faster.
