I am so happy we have been doing so much talking in the last few months.

I am not a cartoon person in general. I am so not looking forward to boy cartoons. Heck, I can't even stand that A has discovered cartoon network. I'm learning to tolerate Hub. I miss the days of Little Einsteins and Wonder Pets.

Ug. It's only midnight. When I heard D crying I seriously thought it was 2 or 3am and was coming up to give DH a break.

Oh michelle. I do not judge. And I actually feel the same way. I put the max away for FSA and dependent care this year. I have to wait until the end to claim all the dependent care so I'm just waiting for everything. Then I will have a 7500 check coming that can go into savings. It is not technically the "right" way to do it, but it works! And in CA, our short term disability is a joke. Both times with the kids, when I got the checks I wondered if it was worth the 15 pages of paperwork I had to fill out...

Uh-oh. I don't see CIO working out so well at this young of an age. But sometimes you gotta let the hubbies take over and let them learn for themselves. Otherwise it all falls on you. I hope D decides he needs some sleep tonight! Glad you got some bonding time with Alyssa!

Haha...so this blogger addressed the Max & Ruby issue on her FB post the other day. She attended a book signing by the M&R author and asked her, "where the hell are the parents?" Here is what she posted about the response:

"turns out max and ruby's parents are always around SOMEWHERE. according to rosemary wells, they are either in the garden or just puttering around the house. those chubby bunnies ALWAYS have supervision (right...). although ms. wells did approve the characters being turned into a television show, the show lengthens and further complicates the basic stories from the books making the absence of the parents seem more significant than it would in the simple stories that she writes. YOU ARE WELCOME."

Karen - I totally agree with you. My only concern is when kids are "labeled" at such a young age. I was in the G&T program, although I was certainly on the low end of G&T intelligence compared to the other ass-kissing overachievers. LOL But I felt like it set the stage for "smarties vs. dummies" that continued through H.S. I went to a very small school though. There were only 240 kids in my entire high school, which was connected to the middle school and grade school.

Yeah, that doesn't sound right. I would call and ask for a supervisor so you aren't lost in the shuffle, Val!

I know....the Thomas obsession is CRAZY here! I tried Chuggington for something different. He likes it but still way prefers Thomas.

It's amazing how much you forget between babies, isn't it?? And sometimes you are so desperate for the sleep, peace and quiet...you will try anything. No judgement here!

What is Hub, Christine? Cartoon or Appleism? ;-) It is a nonstop cartoon-palooza in our house. Bad, I know.
