My crock is removable but IDK if it can go in the oven or not? We're getting to that place where we need to replace our kitchen electrics. We tossed our deep fryer when we moved (hence DH frying wings on the stovetop last weekend and burning himself, which thank goodness wasn't bad). I have a Black & Decker food processor. Would LOVE an excuse to buy a Cuisinart...but I don't use it enough to justify. Our crock pot is beat up, but still works. I'm expecting our steamer to take a dump soon. It's about 12 years old and we use it a lot!

Lol.

So if Gabe doesn't go to daycare do you have to pay for that day?

I let J play hookey from school today.

Michelle, I think I remember you saying you did a lot of pumping.

Oh boy Alicia - that's pretty embarrassing! LOL Let me rephrase: "I'm expecting our veggie steamer to die soon."

Sorry about the visual of huge steaming piles of poop!

Yes, we still have to pay. I don't mind so much for his new daycare because it's about half as much as Addison's preschool was!

Yay for hookey days! Take advantage while you can...next year that gets a lot trickier!

Hmmm....does your hospital have an LC line? I would talk to them about whether or not you should still be pumping, now that your milk is in.

I pumped initially to get my milk going, because he was so early. If you're not trying to build a stash, you may want to stop pumping. Milk is supply and demand...by pumping you are telling your body to make more. That can lead to oversupply, which can cause a range of issues. (Primarily gas and gross green poopies. But it also means the baby is getting too much of the watery "foremilk" milk and not enough "hindmilk," which has the fat that they need.)

Overproduction and the whole foremilk/hindmilk imbalance is a PITA to correct!

Sorry, I hope that doesn't stress you out. Just trying to save you some trouble in the long run.

I called the LC a few days after we got home and got their "permission" to stop pumping, when it was clear that I had a ton of milk.

I second the nursing advice!

So I saw the dr today. He says I need an mri, he seems to think my meniscus might be torn in the back of my knee.
