I need to get some cleaning done as well
and head outside for a bit
and then finish cleaning once Scotia leaves
no use passing the vac more than I need to in a day
and I know she will just leave a pile of fur everywhere as soon as I'm done

too bad Lucas' mom can't gather up the boys?
poor Oscar...it's tough having to go here, there & everywhere when you're 2.5 and super tired?

my wood floors do need more maintenance that the carpets
but that's because the carpet is upstairs in the bedrooms and the wood is in the main floor of the house where we track everything in and eat
so even if it were carpet, it would need more

the main reason we didn't do hardwood on the stairs is Andrew thought it would be slippery
mind you the cost was insane as well
since we have so many stairs and the railing

painting is on Andrew's to do list at the end of the month when he has some time off
the whole house pretty much needs it
but I'm waiting till we do Chy's room first

good luck?
it's really not all that hard?
the prep work is the worst of it, IMO?
once you get that done, you're home free?
i had to laugh at your statement?
that Drew is probably afraid of having to call someone in to do it?
or worse yet, do it himself?
LOL?

we have hardwood under the carpet upstairs and the stairs themselves are hardwood
when we ripped out the old carpet, I considered refinishing the wood in the bedrooms
but the house was very noisy & echoey so we opted for carpet
and its nice and soft up there so I'm glad
we carpeted the stairs as well since I was pregnant with Audra and we worried about falls
that carpet has the most wear/stains though so I've been thinking about removing it and having wood stairs in a couple years
I wish we'd picked a darker color carpet too

i wish we could get outside but alas, we're not?
it's too hot?
some schools around here are starting school today?
and they're doing indoor recess due to the heat?
even though the outdoor equipment isn't metal, it's still too hot?
and they're afraid kids will burn themselves?
and/or have heat related issues due to being outside in such heat?
kids have indoor recess during the winter due to the cold?
but i don't recall ever having indoor recess due to the heat?
