I don't know if you're interested
but I was browsing the AG Doll catalog
and they have 4 of the movies on sale for $5 each through September
Samantha, Felicity, Molly, & Kit
usually they are $15
I'm thinking stocking stuffers or maybe birthday presents

Hmmmmmmmm Allison loves those movies

We get them at the library often

That's a good deal!

I just checked the weather here for next week, and it looks like 70's for pretty much the whole week

It looks like we might be moving that direction too

She is always talking about the editing and how it takes forever, so I'm sure it does

One night a few months ago, she called and asked what I was doing

I said watching tv

I will know better than to say that again!

She went on and ON about how it must be nice to be able to just sit and watch tv but that she has to work nights (sometimes that is the only time she can edit...when my niece isn't around)

However, I had been at work for 8 1/2 hours prior to that, so it wasn't like I sat around on my couch for 8 1/2 hours watching tv

She doesn't really get it sometimes

I also think she is very lucky in some ways

She gets to be home with her DD three days a week

I think I would have picked working a couple hours at night if I got to stay home with my kids a few days a week when they were young if I had the choice

She used to be a teacher, but hated the schedule of a teacher....not being able to go out with a friend for lunch, not being able to make an appt. during the day, etc.

Now she has tons of flexibility by doing things the way she does, but now she is still complaining, lol

I am not quite sure what job she is suited for. :smileywink:

SHe needs a sugar daddy :smileywink:

Caden was originally talking about playing fall soccer

He decided not to do it after all though a couple months ago

I am SO happy that he made that decision

He is getting so much more homework this year

I think I mentioned that I was going to let him stay up later this year, but he really just needs the sleep...I haven't really been able to do that yet though

B/c he's in bed so early, it leaves like 3 hours in between the time he gets home and bed (well, it's often a bit more than that, but not much)

The reading, math facts, and homework add up to about an hour

He also brought home spelling words, so that will be something that needs to get added in a few days too

Then you also have to add in dinner, getting pj's on, brushing teeth, etc.

I am glad we're still having him shower in the mornings to save time in the evenings

It does not leave much down time at all

I really don't know what will happen once Cub Scouts start

I'm not sure how he'll get it all done, although he only has to do the math 5 times a week so I guess he could skip the math on those days---although that will only save 10 minutes

I think his second grade teacher also didn't really give much homework, so it's a big leap compared to last year

I heard that 4th grade is the really tough year, so I'm sort of dreading next year since it's a lot already (and some of it has been long/more difficult)

LOL

The funny thing is that my BIL used to make a ton of money

According to my mom, after 9/11 that didn't happen anymore

I'm not sure what he makes now, but my guess is that he does make decent money

They live in a tiny house, but they paid well over $500,000 for it due to the area

My BIL now works very close to their house now, so IMO they could not move to another town that is perhaps not as pricey (he used to commute to NY)

That would save a ton on the mortgage, and they would likely be fine then
