Hi ladies,

I have been reading many posts tonight and have found myself in the same boat as many of you. This post may include a little too much info, but I really would love your opinions on this because I am starting to freak out.

DH & I agreed that I would stop the pill in mid-September. I am now 11 days late. After 2 days with no sign of AF, I took a test and it was negative. Okay, no problem. Since a few days before AF was supposed to arrive, I have been feeling sick to my stomach (sometimes for little spurts, sometimes for an entire day), have been more tired than usual (and have had a horrrrible time getting up in the mornings - much more than usual), and have had a sharp pain in my lower back. Fast forward to last week...I had a mucus-like discharge after I urinated ...that went on for a few days. For the past two or three days, I have not been able to sleep at night - up almost every hour. I have had very light pink spotting when I wipe (sorry, tmi)...and have also had sharp pains in my lower abdomen. This is totally new - not at all like normal cramping. And these pains have been pretty consistent.

I have two things going through my head: #1, this is just my body's freakish way of adjusting to being off the pill. And #2, could I be pg? I have been completely calm about this (surprisingly enough!)...until tonight. I have an appt. with my new obgyn on Friday. Should I call her to get in sooner? Should I go get another test? Feel free to share your thoughts on this...I really do want to know. Thank you, thank you...

what kind of BCP were u one if u don't mind my asking. the reason i say this is bc occasionally going off the pill can have side effects. i know that sometimes it can take months for your cycle to adjust itself. my advice to u is to call your obgyn if your concerned, but more importantly just to relax. do u want a baby?

I was taking Sprintec (generic for Ortho Cyclen).

DH & I have talked a lot about a family...YES, I am very ready to be mommy. DH definitely wants a child, but right now he's scared (like a lot of DH's are!). We aren't really trying, but we're not *not* trying (just like another post said..perfectly!). Whenever we get pg, it will be a blessing and we'll welcome it with open arms.

on the one hand, yeah, it could just be from going off your pills. but on the other hand, you said you've been having sharp pains. if you are pregnant, that could mean that there's something seriously wrong. i think that you should get checked out by a doctor. if you don't have a usual doctor, make sure you let them know how long ago you stopped taking the pill and tell them about the "symptoms" you've been having. it'd be better to go and find out that it's just your body adjusting than to not go and have it end up being an etopic pregnancy or something. good luck!
