40 and think I am pregnant

I have having a stretching feeling coming from the direction of my uterus. I also have been having some nauesouness (sorry if spelling is wrong). I do feel tired, but I also have three children. My last menses was on March 8. I know that my ovaltion was thrown off, because I had my normal period, but about 2 of being off it, I started again, but I had not had sex in 15 months because dear hubby was deployed. My question is how dangerous is a 4th c-section? I had a footling birth with my first child. Second child her cord got pinched, so they took her early. Third child was huge due to gestional diabt. My sugars have returned to normal since her birth in 02. I had to admit that I am very nervous, but somewhat excited.

i think having a c-section at 40 could be risky, but i don't think to much more than a vaginal one. also not to be rude, but could you possibly be starting menopause? i have a friend that is 36 and is going through menopause. just a thought. but if you are pregnant congrates, also what a blessing your hubby is back.

Hello,

Cowboy: Menopause at 40 is very uncommon. Women tend to get menopause in their late 40s early 50s.

TTC to conceive #1 officially since 2001. Dh had Varicocele surgery 2005 and has low sperm count. Dh tried Clomid..it didnt really help, HSG in 1999 and 2005, Charting since Jan 2006, <

lisal: i actually saw on the news that research is showing that women are actually starting to go into menopause in their late 30s and early 40s now. it is becomming more common to go into menopause early. i have also heard of people being in their late 50s starting menopause.

wendy: i think your best bet is to go to the dr and get tested and checked out. your dr can answer your questions. from the sounds of it, it sounds like pregnancy. i don't know much about menopause. im only 26 so I have a while.

Hello,

From what I have read it is Perimenopause, the transition into menopause. According to the Mayo Clinic, this can start in the late 30s but it is usually the 40s. http://www.mayoclinic.com/health/perimenopause/DS00554

Wendy,

I just read ur post. It was as if I had written it myself except that my LMP was 3/3/07. Last week I felt the stretching and pulling. It definitely didn't feel like anything that had to do with AF. I've had nausea on and off for the past few weeks. I contributed that to my kids having stomach viruses and thought it was just my turn. I also have 3 children. I had gest. diab. with my third too, and had to have a C section. He was huge! AF was due on Friday so I'm 3 days late. I haven't tested yet. BTW I turned 41 yesterday. I would be thrilled if PG.

Wendy,

Just wanted to check in and see how you were doing. I may test tomorrow, if AF doesn't show I'll be 5 days late. Today my BB's are super sore.

Hi Casey,
I have to make an appointment to have my blood tested. Yesterday I had a wonderful day, except felt a little more tired (slept in when I am usually up at 3:00 am, and also took an afternoon nap). This morning, I have been feeling like a see saw. I hope your test turns out how you want it too :). I am so happy to meet someone else over 40 going through this too. I am so sorry it has taken so long to respond.

Also to the other girl who wrote to me about menopause, I doubt its that, as my periods ae usually pretty much on time.

Also to the other girl who is ttc, sorry couldn't remember your name, thank you for your advice, and wishes.

I will respond back later today or tomorrow.

Well I tested tonight! BFP!!!!! I used First Response and got an immeditate result. One line was lighter than the other, but the directions said that may happen. I'm going to test in the morning again with FMU. Hopefully the results with be the same! I'll be back soon.
