advice please: to doctor or not?

So as of today, I am 14 days late. I'm on BCP and have been for five years, only changing brands once over a year ago from Ortho Tri-Cyclen to LoEstrin. I missed one pill on the 9th of August (LMP was 30 Jul-2 August, a day later than usual). Took two on Friday. Spotting Sunday, Tuesday.

AF was due on 26 August. No show, no spotting, nothing.

Since that time, I swear my breasts are bigger. They started tingling yesterday, driving me crazy all day. Today isn't so strong, but I also strapped 'em in to a bralet tank top *and* a bra *and* a fitted shirt. I've had little tugs, twinges, etc in my lower abdomen (both l&r sides) off and on for about three weeks. I don't feel much sick, but my stomach isn't *right* either, it feels little queasy, but not to the point of throwing up. No weird smell resistances, but my tea is putting me off a bit every morning. Lower back pain. Thicker CM (DH keeps commenting on it. "This is weird, Em.") Some (i blush even thinking about it) gas & I alternate between constipation & diarrhea (the diarrhea is not abnormal. My body doesn't like lots of food. Constipation is unusual.).

Oh, yeah, and a "gut feeling" of "Well, I *think* I am, but am I just being suggestible?"

Four BFNs on HPTs (ept & first response). Do I call a doctor to get something definite? I feel so silly thinking I'm pregnant, especially on the pill. Thoughts?

Thanks! And baby dust for all of you!

Emily

Emily~ I somehow managed to get pg on the pill, but the only symptom I had other than 'pill side effects' was hot flashes. Otherwise I don't think I would have ever tested. I had been on bcp for two years and had actually stopped having periods altogether, which is not uncommon. I'd check with your doc, though, if you have any doubts.

Thanks, Melissa.

I have been extremely hot at night, usually I wake up all sweaty & miserable. My periods have been quite regular, slowly moving over the five years from Sunday to Tuesday, but they are never late or skipped. Only in the first two months on the pill was anything ever off. I do love that shortened period that I've gotten though. Usually it's 24-72 hours at most.
