Hi,

I have written to this board only once before, but now I'm really in need of help and my doctor hasn't returned my call yet. Here's the scoop: My husband and I have been ttc for one month. Last Saturday, CD 29, I took an hpt and it was negative. My temps decreased and I assumed I was not pregnant. AF arrived on CD 33 - it was normal. This morning, CD 6 (of new cycle) I realized that my breasts were still sore. They're never sore right after my period. I decided to take another hpt, even though I had my period. Well, I burst into tears as I saw TWO pink lines! I thought I wasn't pregnant and it was my husbands birthday, so I drank wine at the celebration. Now two pink lines!! Has anyone had a BFP after getting their period? And what about the temp decrease? Did I miscarry? Please help. I'm so upset!!

Yes, I have read many times that it is possible. here is my situation. I had my last LMP 7/27 but than the entire month after that I have just felt "pregnant". I took a HPT, got a very very faint positive line on 8/25, than the morning of 8/28 got a light period, stopped 2 hours later, got heavy for a day, than brown and light for about three days (I am normally HEAVY from day 1 to day 5) I retested twice since than and have gotten negative HPT. BUT I STILL feel what I have been feeling for the past month! I never have backaches, but after my period was over, my lower back started to ache, VERY gassy!, i see blue veins on the side of my pouchy stomach, breaking out, weird tingling near my belly button, and am still experiencing weird cramps, peeing like crazy!!! I have an appt with my gyno next week, so let me know if you get any information.

It is very possible. Wait another day or two and test again. Don't worry about the wine. It will be ok. I did the same thing and my son is fine. He is a happy, healthy 14 year old boy. You will be ok. Just test again and if it is BFP, get yourself an appt. to see the Dr.

Hope all goes well. Keep us posted.

with my first baby my cycles were totally screwed up from bcp and ended up bleeding for 3 mo off & on everyday, never very heavy. I found out not until i was 5mo along that i was pg, all the mean time had a huge drinking party with my brother when he got married when i would have been 3 mo along. I was a nervous wreck but my dr assured me that one drinking binge isn't going to seriously harm the baby. my angel is perfectly normal (normal for a nutty 4year old boy now) DON"T WORRY ABOUT HAVING A FEW DRINKS THE BABY IS OK!! an ultrasound would ease your mind for sure. you probably haven't miscarried. did you have a extremely heavy AF or maybe globs of brown discharge? those would indicate a MC. Let me know. I beleive evrything wil be alright.

Only thing i'm worried about is your temp decrease..I had the same situation..I was getingFaint lines on my HPT and then i started spotting then bleeding before AF was due..Then my temp dropped..I was still getting faint lines on the HPT..Then the bleeding stopped.I went and got a different test, just took it and it said neg..I think i miscarried..I'm hoping the best for you...Goodluck..

oh good! Someone else is experiencing this too! I thought I was going crazy, I try to describe this " needle like prick" or "faint electric zaps" to my doctor and they are just mystified. I went to the ER and they checked it off as IBS but I can feel something weird, like right in the middle of my lower abdomen, right below my belly button like a balloon, almost? Have you been to the doctor?

I am not sure if it was me that you were asking if I have any symptoms, but yes I have. Below is my post:

well i was not very hungry almost not at all for a few weeks but that got better as well as nausea. at the time i thought i had the non-stop flu since evryone around me was getting the flu. no reason to believe i was pg with all that bleeding. this time around i feel fine. nothing like my first 2. it's hard to believe that i'm even pg. hope it all works out for you. i know the other gals are scaring you that you may have MC but i'm not convinced. call the dr & explain what's been happening. it will ease your mind. keep me posted.

forgot to answer the other part of your ? at the time evryone thought i was nuts & never heard of such a thing. a couple years down the road i heard several people tell me that they continued having normal periods while pg as well as more like me having on& off bleeding for a few months. It's only a handful or so of people i've come across but yeah it can happen. does make it difficult to pin point conception & due date.
