Hello,

Dh and I have been thinking of having a child so I made some dr's appointments which are in March & April. Gyno & Reproductive psychologist.

I have not had my period for 3 years I though due to a medication I am on but it could be because I gained 90ish pounds from that medication and not really taking care of my eating habits.
Anyhow.. I over the last 6 months lost 60 pounds and have quit smoking just over a month ago. I quit smoking because that is the time dh and I started talking about having a child and I knew I would have to quit sometime. I am Christian so I prayed to God to let his will be done with me getting pregnant.
Dh and I have never used any type of protection.. but like I said I have not had a period the last 3 years.

The reason I am posting on this forum is because, I got spotting about 1.5-2 weeks ago. It seems like it has stopped now I did not have any yesterday. But I was looking on another site and this site and I have pretty much all the signs of early pregnancy.. tender nipples, slight spotting, very tired, peeing all the time(more then usual! and I do go a lot LOL), very constipated and gassy , raised temp(my temp is usually around 96.1 and lately it has been 98.6), my sense of smell is incredible too!!. I did take a test two days ago but it came up negative.. but IF I am pregnant I did it too soon I have to wait like 10-14 more days right from when I stop spotting?
What do you think?
Could losing all that weight and quitting smoking make me ovulate and could I possibly of gotten pregnant just like that??

Thanks!
Candice

Yes to both questions. Sometimes it's as easy as that. Being overweight makes your body produce less of the hormone that tells you body to ovulate so one the weight is gone your body works like its suppose to. At lease most of the time. I hope you get good news from your Dr. Good luck
