Am I making myself sick thinking I'm pg?

Hi, I was browsing the site and thought I'd post my own questions.

My fiancee and I had unprotected sex the day after I finished my last period; thinking that it would be "safe" for us to do so. However, a few days later I started feeling ill to my stomach, and I've had a sore tummy (middle and lower) on and off for a couple weeks. I'm wondering if this is early signs of pregnancy, or could it be that I'm so worried about getting pregnant that I could be making myself ill?? Or maybe it's something else altogether....

My period is due next Tuesday, and the waiting is killing me. This is the one time I'm praying for my period to come!

Any replies/advice would be much appreciated!

I know how scary it is to wait for your period.

Thanks for your reply. I think my period is pretty regular, although I'm not quite sure. What I think I'll do is wait it out to see if I get it by next Tuesday or Wednesday and if I don't, then I'll do the test. If I'm logical, I'd say the chances of me being pg are pretty slim, but like you said, there's always exceptions, and I don't know why I'm getting these stomach pains. Just gotta wait it out. May have to go to the doctor if I'm not feeling better by next week as well. :S

Sympathy note, I am in the process of waiting to be sure I'm in the clear as well, but I figured you might like to hear that I was so worried about being pregnant during my first scare that I actually created my own symptoms. I read that a metallic taste in the mouth was a possible early symptom, and I tasted metal severely and nonstop for a week before my period finally came (very late might I add). It's possible you could be creating your own symptoms, but you never know. Stress can delay a period, so try not to worry. Of course, that's easier said than done, good luck!

Thanks for the notes, girls. AF finally arrived today, so I'm very relieved. My fiancee and I did a pregnancy test over the weekend as well, which came up negative. I'm feeling better and I do think my symptoms were stress-induced. I'll try not to stress so much in the future, but I think that may be wishful thinking! Good luck with everyone who is still waiting for results.
