am I pg? or just overthinking?

I had something very strange happen to me this month but all I can think of is that it's due to my body trying to readjust after my first child, Addison. The first day of the last time I saw AF was June 13th, which with my usually regular ovulation, would mean I was due to O at approx June 27th. But nothing happened. I have regular cramps and lots of CM when I O and nothing happened. I waited what seemed like forever because I figured I had just missed it and may have become pg but instead, I O'd sometime around July 8th or 9th.(2 weeks late). I should have had AF on July 13th-ish but AF hasn't come. I have some symptoms but I'm trying to figure out it is AF or pg because with Addison, everything just followed PMS symptoms until I realized I was a week and a half late.(I was really busy at the time because normally I can be very obsessive about testing). Anyhow, Thursday, July 12th my breasts became sore but mainly only around the nipples and areola (tmi, sorry) in which it hurts the most when he nurses. My tummy popped out from what seems like bloating but it did that last time, but mainly, I usually dry up after I O and I am still at a wet consistency. There is nothing about this in signs or symptoms of pg anywhere I look but I do know you tend to have cm throughout pg. Does anyone recall if they had this happen before? I'm only at 7 dpo (but at 21 dp when I should have ovulated and though I was pg the first time) so I have a while to wait still and am going crazy over all this waiting. Can anyone at least help me ease my brain a little or even take a shot at why my O was 2 wks late? I overthink things much too often but I am a thinker and I just can't help it. Thanks for any and all ideas.

I am on cd 41 and trying to wait until tomorrow before I test again. So far all bfn's though. As for symptoms, they still come in waves but no more dizziness and the headaches have tapered off for the most part (I'll get one a day or every two) but I still get waves of: m/s, lower back pain, light cramping, discharge, sleepiness(which could easily be related to my 6 1/2 month old), more moody, and bloated. The bloatedness and moodiness can easily be AF but I can't explain the rest if it is. With my DS I didn't find out I was pg until I was 5 1/2 weeks along and it was due to being late and I had breast tenderness that just wasn't going away. So, that means if absolutely nothing else, if AF doesn't show, I am pg, and it's anything like last time, in about a week and a half, my breasts will hurt tremendously.

I don't know if it means anything but I know dogs are sensitive to AF and to pregnancies but do you know if it applies to cats any? My husband has a cat he had when we got married back last October and although she's not unfriendly towards me, if he's around she ignores me mostly. However, within the past week, she comes to me a lot more and first sometimes when he's also in the house. Could just be a coincidence but I don't know.

I'll keep you updated when I test tomorrow. Let me know if you get any results or anything changes.

Alaina,

Thank you so much! I am trying not to obsess about this, but feeling like I do is not normal and I know I am trying and truly want to have a baby. But I told myself I would not worry about it today although I am still nauseated and having dizzy spells. I am going to just not worry about it and try to treat my symptoms.

Alaina,

Okay, so I'm wondering...are you????

I'm getting some AF symptoms now, but nothing yet. If AF doesn't show by Thursday I'm calling the doctor.

Hey Alaina,

Well, I cracked and took another test and it's POSITIVE!!!!!! I had totally talked myself into thinking it would be a negative and then two lines came up immediately! I read what you said about dogs sensing this sort of thing and my dog has been following me around non-stop so I really started to wonder. That, and I've had off and on weird cramps the last few days, plus hot flashes, fatigue, and lower back pain. I guess you were completely right when you mentioned that dogs can sense that stuff. I hadn't heard that before but it's true in my house. I'm not sure about cats, though.

No, I am DYING to hear what news you have. Did you take a test? I hope hope hope you have good news. I'm going back to freaking out about two babies in two years. WE MUST BE CRAZY!!!

Let me know,
Andrea

I took a test this morning and got a bfn again! If I'm not, I wish AF would just show already. Yesterday I didn't really have any symptoms other than still being wet (sorry tmi but with Addison I ended up with an infection and if I am pg now, I understand why) but today I woke up just not very hungry which is odd for me and extremely exhausted (I could barely hold my eyes open) and currently I'm having some weird almost AF type cramps, mainly on my right side, so I thought maybe I was starting but nothing has happened yet, no spotting, nothing. So if nothing happens, I'll retest Friday so as not to waste too many tests (I'm getting better at waiting because the disappointment and frustration is getting to be just too much to deal with EVERY day. With my DS Addison, I didn't find out I was pg until I was 5 - 6 weeks or so along but I just hadn't tested until then. If nothing else, if AF doesn't show up, if I am and it goes like with him, next week, my bbs will get extremely tender. I'm okay if I'm not, I'm just tired of waiting becuse it'll affect a lot of things for me including pellgrant money, being able to get some insurance, etc. I'm not doing it for those things but if I am pg, I want to get things rolling asap. Without insurance, all I can do is wait. Hopefully things will start happening for you.

Andrea

Awww, I wrote the other post before I read your last one. CONGRADULATIONS!!! Maybe I should go to my parents house because they have two dogs. I found more information on dogs sensing pg last night, it's super interesting. Here's the url: http://dogs.about.com/od/dogsyourhealth/f/sense_pregnancy.htm. It's so funny because the symptoms you talked about in your last post are exactly what I'm having now although the lower back pain hasn't been bothering me much lately. How many days did you wait between testing since you started having those symptoms? How many months apart will the babies be for you? IF I am pg, mine will be 15 months. Definitely going to keep you updated. You do the same...

Hi again Alaina,

I keep having trouble getting my messages posted right, so I'll try again.

I re-read your post about the animals sensing AF or pregnancy and I think you're totally on to something. My dog has been following me around like crazy and I cracked and took a test - surprise! BFP. I feel like you have because I've had weird AF type cramps in my left side and I've been very tired with some creamy yellowish CM. I wanted to test to make sure it was still negative so I could call my doctor and tell her there's something wrong with me. At CD 41 my tests were still negative so hold on - there's still hope! Apparently CD 44 was the lucky date for me. You've still got time. Especially if you ovulated late and didn't know for a long time with your first pregnancy. I'm hoping you get your BFP very soon - you have all the symptoms. I'll be thinking about you and waiting for any news. It would be so fun to have similar due dates.

How funny - crossing lines.

Mine will be 15 months apart, too. Will was born the beginning of December (the 8th) but I was due 12/23. I saw that Addison was born the 31st? Do you surf the December '06 Snowflakes board? I do occasionally but it's slowed down a lot in the last couple months. Mostly I've been on the TTC boards and preoccupied with that. I swear, almost every symptom (except the nausea) that you have I have, too. I could write every post you've posted!

I'm going to read that article you sent. I've got my fingers crossed for you. By the way, my regular email address is ajohnson759@earthlink.net. It may be easier to keep in touch that way!
