Another At Home Pregnancy Test Question.

Happy Easter to all!!

I may have a slight chance of being pregnant.
The "deed" took place on 3/20, and no period as to date.
Can someone tell me when I am able to take a at home pregnancy test -- that will provide accurate results?

Thank you in advance,
Eva

It depends on how long your cycle is- mine is form 28-32 days. Usually you can take a pregnancy test like EPT or First response 4 days before your expected period. I did the "Deed" on the 25th of March, and 3 pregnancy tests this weekend showed I'm pregnant.

To be on the safe side, consider 2 weeks after DTD, plus 5 days to cover the lifespan of the sperm.* That would give you yesterday, 4/8. That's still not a guarantee, since some women take weeks for the hCG to show up in their urine.

*Since you don't know your cycle or when you ovulated, I'm going with the average 14-day luteal phase (time between ovulation and your period starting). Sperm can live up to 5 days in a fertile cervix (usually 2-3), so it's possible for you to DTD up to 5 days before ovulation and still get pg. If you ovulated after 3/25, there is almost 0% chance you are pg.
